I knew it was recorded pre-BF, but not the weekend after Halloween. Someone else on here said 1985. They weren't in the studio for Tango that early?

Personally, I think 'Seven Wonders' is the best track on TITN. I never understood why here in the U.K. it only reached #56 whereas 'Big Love', 'Little Lies' and 'Everywhere' reached #9, #5 and #4 respectively....

Not in a necessarily bad way (I love it, personally), but it definitely doesn't sound like a contemporary pop song. Maybe if you're listening to Haim... but otherwise, no.

I know this has been discussed and debated to death... but I'm still pretty sure Stevie is saying Aaron. I hear no 'S.' And it would make sense being that the song was originally titled 'Aaron.'

And of course Stevie gets royalties from the song. She has a co-writing credit and she's the recording artist. Unless she signed her rights to the song away (doubtful)... she's getting money off of it.
It sounds like Sara or Tara, not Aaron. Also, like I said before, she stole some credit for song. She should not of taken any writing credit for what she did. It is ridiculous.

Where are y'all talking about?

The one part I know Stevie changed on Seven Wonders was:

"on the way down to Emmaline"

Which I believe was originally:

"All the way down the line"

Yes, I, too, am very confused (but incredibly intrigued!) about the "Aaron/Sara" discussion. I love the song, and I never remember hearing anything that sounds like either of these names.

There have been discussions in the past concerning what Stevie actually utters during the refrain sections of "Seven Wonders", ranging from "Sara" to "Tara" and then some. For the longest time, I thought she was singing "Pharaoh", but these days, I'm quite certain she's saying "Aaron". I would never have guessed this had I not learned of the original title of the song, but it's pretty clear to me now that she's actually referring to this name.

From what I remember of the story of this song. Ms. sandy wrote this song (Originally titled "Aaron" or "Erin") about a friend of hers that had recently passed away at the time who goes by the same name.

So when Ms. Sandy sent the demo to Ms. Nicks, only to find out later that our Stevie altered it by possibly changing the Aaron/Erin to Sara/Tara and other lyrics. Ms.Sandy wasn't pleased.

Then something happened where she tried taking the song back but then Warners stopped her from doing so. Then something about money or getting dropped.

I don't know, that's all I can remember. The story is somewhere on this forum.

Honestly, I do feel that Sandy does deserve credit where credit is due. Stevie wouldn't have liked if Sandy took "Julia" and made it her own with out crediting her, so she should of at least include her name in the credits.

Is it me or has Sandy Stewart always been clearly credited as the main author of that song? I never thought the band was ambiguous about that. I think I'm confused too.

Whatever happened, there clearly isn't bad blood over it - Sandy co-wrote Too Far From Texas, on TISL.

Oh, okay! Thank you for the explanation. That makes sense. I always thought she was saying, "Never." But this is far better! I do hope she kept it as, "Aaron." I'm off to listen very closely right now.

Stevie's lyrics are: All the way down to Emmiline.

Wasn't it 'Erin'? I could be wrong though

That's what I heard about SW, that it was called Erin.

Sandy was very pleased with Stevie at first but than she recorded her own album and they had a big fallout...

I'm glad she changed it to Seven Wonders. Its great title for a song. Aaron/Erin doesn't sound half as good.

It is very strange that it didn't do as well as the rest of those songs. It sounds like a big hit kind of song, and should have at least reached the top ten. Strange....
