Stevie Nicks has been hailed as the “Queen of Rock and Roll” by Rolling Stone. Her albums, both as a solo artist and as a member of the band Fleetwood Mac, have earned her 13 Grammy nominations and a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

She is known for her wild, gypsy-inspired style, her long flowing hair, and her twirling dance moves while performing. She’s been married and divorced, overcame a 10-year addiction to cocaine, and refused to have children.

To many of her fans, Nicks is more than just a singer or a songwriter. To her fans, Nicks is the embodiment of a free woman. A 2013 piece on Nicks in New York Magazine pinpointed the reason for her avid following, noting that she's survived an era of music that most didn't. She's overcome drugs and love affairs.

As American Horror Story: Coven wrapped up the season on Wednesday, it featured a second appearance of guest star Nicks. The role was Nicks’ first as an actress in a television series, and featured the White Witch performing several of her top hits. Wednesday’s finale had Stevie singing a deliciously campy version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Seven Wonders” to the witches:

In honor of Stevie and her fabulously witchy performance on American Horror Story , here is a compilation of her best singles.

10. Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You

Released on her 1985 solo album Rock A Little, "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" is a beautiful ballad in which Nicks writes a song for all the great musical artists - the people who write lyrics for everyone yet never have a song written for them.

"So, if not for me, then / Do it for yourself / If not for me then /Do it for the world / Poet priest of nothing/ Poet priest of nothing"

9. Gold Dust Woman

From Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, “Gold Dust Woman” is quintessential Stevie Nicks. The track can be interpreted many different ways; is it about cocaine, bad relationships, the musician life, or living?

8. Beauty and the Beast

One of her lesser-known tracks, “Beauty and the Beast” was recorded during a three hour studio session. The song takes its inspiration from the Beauty and the Beast story. The orchestral result is a beautiful, dreamy track that allows Stevie’s voice to shine.

7. Gypsy

“Gypsy” was the second single off the 1982 Fleetwood Mac album Mirage. The nostalgic song has connections to Nicks’ life before joining Fleetwood Mac, as well as embodying her “gypsy” lifestyle.

6. Go Your Own Way

Sang by Lindsay Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac, the song is about the emotional roller-coaster relationship between Nicks and Fleetwood Mac drummer, Mick Fleetwood. Released as the first single off Rumours, “Go Your Own Way” was the band’s first top-ten hit.

5. Leather and Lace

Recorded with her vocal coach Don Henley, “Leather and Lace” shows a soft side to Nicks. She sings the love song with a trademark yearning sound. Originally written by Nicks for country duo Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, the track went unreleased until recorded by Nicks and Henley.

4. Dreams

Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 “Dreams” plays as a conversation between lovers Stevie Nicks and fellow bandmate Mick Fleetwood. The track was Fleetwood Mac’s only number one U.S. single.

“Now here you go again, you say / You want your freedom / Well who am I to keep you down / It's only right that you should /Play the way you feel it”

3. Edge of Seventeen

Released in 1981 on Stevie’s debut solo album, Bella Donna, the single features the well-known opening line, “Just like the white winged dove / Sings a song / Sounds like she’s singing.” Nicks’ passion and unique tone are featured prominently on this track.

2. Landslide

A favorite of classic rock radio stations all over the world, Fleetwood Mac’s hit single “Landslide” has been covered by country group The Dixie Chicks and rock band The Smashing Pumpkins, proving that Nicks’ ethereal voice transcends genres.

1. Rhiannon

Released on Fleetwood Mac’s first album with Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, “Rhiannon” was frequently introduced by Stevie as “a song about a Welsh witch." It has been named #488 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Nicks’ voice reaches near-religious heights on the track.
