Stevie's Cameo on AHS: COVEN revealed!

'Seven Wonders' is now #92 on the iTunes chart and the remastered version from 'The very best of' is at #267. Does this mean that the song could hit the hot 100 next week or any other chart??

I liked the idea of the Seven Wonders music video thing at the beginning cause I really like that song, but hearing her "young" voice with the current Stevie is kind of weird...

I love the opening.I wish they let Stevie do alittle more acting in this last installment.I was disappointed on that.

I love to see her play a character in a movie or TV show like somebodies mom,A wife ,a lawyer,teacher,waitress or whatever.

Somewhere in the thousands of hours of television I have consumed in my lifetime I once heard an adage that goes something like: "Everyone dies, not everyone truly lives". I have never seen that sentiment more perfectly, if slightly ironically, expressed than in the season finale of Coven.

First things first, and there's no getting around it. The episode opens with a Stevie Nicks music video. Seriously. It is a music video for Fleetwood Mac's 1987 song "Seven Wonders", which I went back and looked up the official music video for and let me tell you, it's pretty much the same exact approach except done with the cast of Coven.

I'll say it again, I have nothing but love for Stevie Nicks, but it's like this... I rewatched the entire season before catching the finale because my wife had a break in her nursing studies and wanted to try the show out. She lives in a perpetual state of disappointment that they never made a movie out of Anne Rice's The Witching Hour you see.

She also grew up with a sister who was obsessed with Stevie Nicks, and throughout the course of viewing the whole shebang in one big chunk she would pause it continuously to show me a whole bunch of references to the White Witch I had missed. Little musical cues and costume choices that were subtle homages to times in Nicks' life.

That should be cool, but it never, ever pays off. Nicks sings her song as the four remaining girls prepare to try for the position of Supreme then saunters out in a top hat because why the hell not? Nicks is never revealed to be any sort of figure of true importance, and her music doesn't offer a leitmotif that takes us there as a plot device. It's like the makers of the show just had a bunch of her songs stuck in their heads and exorcised the earworm through television.

It's not the only thing that was pointless.

I have to say, I kind of agree.

It was fun and all, but it had no purpose. I was hoping that Stevie's appearance in the finale would tie back into her prior appearance in episode 10 and have something to do with the plot at least in some way. The girls were preparing for the trials, yes, but they could have been doing that to the tune of Seven Wonders without Stevie's presence. I just want to know what the heck she was doing there.

I'm not sure why they had Stevie on the show, but it's pretty damn cool that in this decade . . . in this millenium Stevie Nicks had a small time TV show dedicate a season of time to her music, and PAID HER for it! Smart PR Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. I'm also thrilled that Lindsey got some face time and exposure at the GRAMMYS! Looks like Fleetwood Mac is getting their people out there! They are representing, and they look great!

For a season that series creator Ryan Murphy told EW "everybody thought...would be our lowest-rated season because it would be so specific," American Horror Story: Coven really killed it in the ratings during its finale this past Wednesday.

According to EW, the season three finale of AHS pulled in an impressive 4.2 million viewers during its first live airing on Wednesday night, then managed to pull in another 1.6 million during the replay that same night, bringing its total to 5.8 million viewers. Not bad at all, especially when compared to previous seasons: Last year's AHS: Asylum finale pulled in only 2.3 million viewers during its first airing, and Murder House pulled in 3.2 million. Just call it the Stevie Nicks effect?

FX has, of course, already renewed AHS for a fourth season, that Murphy has been very secretive about—but he has stated it will take place the '50s, and "Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent." Hints were also peppered throughout the final episodes of Coven, so if you've got an eagle eye and DVR, some episodes might be worth a rewatch...

I am glad the Supreme is who she is. Good call. And she seems like a White Witch if anyone from the cast is. But it's weird to have Nicks the White Witch appear without grieving her friend Fiona, or acting on behalf of Misty or even delivering a line/spell that would send the coven towards the right direction (the direction it eventually does take under the new Supreme).

Her vocal was definitely way up front; I couldn't really tell if it was an alternate version, or if they just turned the backing vocals down. It sounded incredible to my ears!

Anyway, I think the explanation was that she was suddenly more powerful & able to become supreme.

This is why I'm left feeling a bit empty. I'm thrilled that Stevie's been exposed to thousands of younger/newer fans. But I feel in my heart that it was a missed opportunity.


BTW - I have watched every season of AHS & it's one of my favorite shows. Jessica Lange kills it every time, not to mention the other actors (Lilly Rabe & Sarah Paulson in particular.) And honestly, season 2 was my favorite - once you take out all that alien nonsense, lol.

Season 4 set in the 50's, Jessica Lange with a German accent? Hmmmmm. They already touched on Nazi atrocities in season 2; I wonder what route he'll go this time around.

Season 4 has to do with Science and Nuclear Testing. They are doing the opposite of Magic, which is Science.

But she considered it a step up from Miss Robichaux's Academy all the same. And at least we didn't see her screeching in horror on a loop, in her final moments.

As far as hell goes, I kind of questioned the punishments., we saw the week before. I think Misty's was worse.

I just can't see it being that hard for Marie to hurt other people. Now, if she had to hurt her own baby, the one she gave away in exchange for her soul, that would be a different story. But I don't know if I believe hurting Borquita was as heart-rending for her as the scene made us believe.

As far as seeing Borquita suffer, we saw Delphine torture her kids herself, so how is watching someone else do it for all eternity that bad a thing?

The only person whose hell it really was was BORQUITA's.
