Actually, they've had other episodes start out with a montage set to cheery music. I wouldn't be surprised to hear he had planned the montage to Seven Wonders before Stevie came up with the idea to lip sync. I loved it.

This season has been a bit of a campy, "throw in the kitchen sink" mess with witches dying and being brought back two episodes later. Some episodes seemed to be filler, while others seemed to be two episodes crammed into one fast-paced one.
I had hoped since early December that Stevie would be a character and not a tacked-on cameo by a singer. Since it was the latter, it just didn't work, but it was still a thrill to see her. I agree that Misty deserved far better than she got...but so did Mme. LaLaurie and Marie Laveau. I am glad the Supreme is who she is. Good call. And she seems like a White Witch if anyone from the cast is. But it's weird to have Nicks the White Witch appear without grieving her friend Fiona, or acting on behalf of Misty or even delivering a line/spell that would send the coven towards the right direction (the direction it eventually does take under the new Supreme). "Silver Spring" was apropos for Myrtle...Stevie wrote it for (or at least gave it to) her mom, and Myrtle was the only mom Delia knew. But yes...it would've been better for Misty. |

loved the finale last night! its funny from the beginning i said that cordelia was the supreme and as the show started last night i leaned over to my hubby and said i hope they toy with us a bit so that was the only let down for me. i wish in a way that it would have been a showdown with all the girls but thats ok i think it worked out the way it was supposed to be. i also knew fiona would be back as well but she had me cracking up when she was bitching about the knotty pine -ha!
i thought the opening with stevie was just so fantastic and just so perfect! how about i went on itunes this morning and seven wonders is #2 on the rock chart. cant wait for next year but did i miss the clues or something? Last edited by kak125; 01-30-2014 at 09:25 AM.. |

Never. Didn't Louie say in a previous post that Ryan Murphy didn't care about any of these characters and he would destroy all of them or something like that? |

It sounded to me like they used the vocal from the Tango In The Night video? It wasn't the vocal from the album version, or was it?

Why the heck was SS used for that scene?? Had nothing to do with what was going on. SOTM would've been a much more fitting choice. As far as Stevie's lip-synching to 7W, I thought it was kind of presented like a music video. I liked it. I think that was the scene that was Stevie's idea. As far as the show itself goes, I have mixed reviews. Sometimes it was really dumb, and other times it was interesting. The acting was always fab by the older women, the younger ones- cringe-worthy at times. The finale left me a little disappointed. Just seemed like they were doing a bunch of parlor tricks. It wasn't really interesting until the very, very end. Jamie

Ok, I admit it, I haven't seen any of AHS (BAD Chiffon Head!). It's not been showing here on a station that I'm subscribed to.
I did see her HAEWAFY, which was lovely, but I don't think I want to see Seven Wonders. It would be incredibly odd to see 2014 Stevie singing a 1987 vocal. Having said that, it's great that Stevie is at least dipping into anything from Tango. Everything from RAL through to Street Angel hardly seems to get a look in these days. She hasn't done anything from OSOTM in 14 years and hasn't done anything from Tango since the 87/88 tour, so I'm pleased to see that she is at least acknowleding these years and songs exist. |

I liked the season overall and I'm satisfied with who they ended up keeping. It would have been great if they had used "Sisters of the Moon" because there are so many lyrics that could have made a strong visual impact. That was the only missed opportunity for me.

This was a pretty funny season. So, I think someone mentioned that next season will be set in the fifties. If it's done this way I would watch it again. It was more interesting than the 2nd season. The "plot" wasn't great this year, but at least it had a narrative that one could follow, rather than just a bunch of dead people coming around and spooking McDermott and Briton without much rhyme or reason.
I like my stuff less David Lynchy. Second season ... NO. Michele |

And the moment Fiona realized she was in hell was when she noticed the walls were "KNOTTY PINE?!" ![]() I'm actually pretty happy with the way they wrapped the show up last night. We got to see Queenie, Zoey, Misty, and even Cordelia develop as characters & their powers fully blossom. Fiona made one last shocking appearance... and Cordelia finally stepped out of her shadow. The coven which was on the brink of extinction is now more wildly successful than anyone could have ever imagined. I just really wish they would have implemented Nan in some fashion... as a helper from beyond the grave like they did with Spalding last night. That, and it was just a travesty Sisters Of The Moon wasn't used. Other than that, I enjoyed the hell out of this season. ![]()

Not to mention the massive plot hole where a witch is choked to death by the same buffoon whose mind she easily controlled earlier in the show.
