I guess it makes sense to capitalize on her appearance, but I was surprised to see it.

I also thought playing Silver Springs during the redheaded lady's burning at the stake was a terrible idea.

Besides the opening, the finale left a bad taste in my mouth.
Her appearance is getting mixed reviews on twitter. A lot of people found it weird and unnecessary.

I have to say, I'm disappointed with how they handled Misty's death. I would have preferred her to live, in the first place.. but if she had to die, I don't think it's fair that she of all people was stuck in hell (and it's pretty telling that her hell is having to kill a frog over and over). She's was easily the most virtuous / innocent of all of them, comparatively. I wish that when she failed to come back they would have shown her ascending to heaven & twirling to Stevie or chilling at the swamp or something, or alternatively, under the pretense that heaven doesn't exist in AHS, at least show that she was able to leave the science lab and when she did it just went black (tying into what Madison said earlier about death just being empty blackness). Just didn't think she deserved that, out of all of them, to end that way...

They also should have played Silver Springs when Misty died, not when Myrtle was being burned at the stake. It felt really weird there.
A lot of people on twitter upset over Misty.

I agree. I'm sorry folks. My Nana and I only tuned in for Stevie. This whole show made no sense to us and as the girl said tonight "A rehash of celebrity rehab." Misty was the only chracter I found interesting and then she dies.
That scene will haunt my dreams forever. I can't stop thinking about it. I can't stop crying! My gosh!

Why? It's fine. Stevie is fine. She has a whole bunch of young people interested in her now, who might not have known about her before, and I'm sure she's loving the money coming in. But I agree with others, poor timing of Silver Springs.

Silver Springs would have really resonated better if played during Misty's death because in a way, it speaks to her longing for a tribe and for a family that she ultimately she never got to have.. maybe she would have found it with this Coven, but all the drama and finally her death ripped the opportunity from her, ie, "you could be my silver springs, blue-green colors flashing.." & "time casts a spell on you, but you won't forget me / i know i could have loved you, but you would not let me" etc.

I agree that Silver Springs should have been for Misty. And I don't care that she's dead. Good riddance.

I thought it was an ok finale and more peaceful and less gory than the rest of the season has been, as well.

I'm glad Fiona wasn't dead, at least. And I'm glad she got that human death.

Now, I don't care that she's dead, but I agree with this. She had nothing to be punished for and should not have been in "hell," hurting an innocent creature against her will. She should have been spared that fate. In fact, Papa Legba should have shown up and given her back her tape player and let Silver Springs be HER theme song, as the audience said goodbye. Hearing Silver Springs on a permanent loop would have been her version of heaven.

She was locked up in a mausoleum for days already. She didn't need to suffer any more.

Yes, that ending would have been much more fitting than the one she recieved. The timer runs out and we see Papa Legba escort her out of the science lab and hand her the tape player. Then Misty turns to dust in Cordelia's arms.

You know what I would have liked? I would have liked if she had been in a position to kill Delia, but then didn't and decided to die like a mortal, rather than take her daughter's life. She could have had the intention of killing her, but then changed her mind.

But yeah, come on. How in the world was Axeman going to get enough of a jump on her to kill her last week? He never outsmarted her before. Suddenly, he comes up behind her and she doesn't have a clue? She'd have had to have been an idiot to actually go down like that. And we know that she wasn't.

That would have been nice. I'm a sucker for the Cordelia/Fiona dynamic (and mother/daughter relationships in general, really. All relationships, if I'm being honest) so it would have been interesting to see her display an ultimate sense of awareness like that, for once not acting for the betterment of herself but instead putting her daughter and the coven first.

Yup. Although at TV board I post at, the majority seemed to hate it.

I have to say, this entire season was an homage & love letter to Stevie Nicks. I never thought I'd see such a thing in popular entertainment. It did my soul good to see it.

Anybody else shocked by the plug for the In Your Dreams doc at the end?!
I feel the same. Just seeing Stevie on a popular TV show is a treat for me. Some may not care for it, but I have loved every minute of her appearances.
