I know, right? I drove home form work pouring over memories from childhood of my grandma talking about The Illuminati. Back then, it was Ron and Nancy Reagan, Howard Hughes, and Alan Greenspan. The Illuminati were the world's rich and elite, secretly controlling governments through wealth - now they're rappers and pop divas promoting Satanism and I find it all sort of laughable. Where are the Saudi Princes? Bill Gates? The *real* wealthy and powerful? That French woman who heads up the IMF? I have a hard time believing that any organization which controls the world would include Rihanna in their ranks, but not Oprah Winfrey.

I also wonder why, if Madonna is a member, she has not used that power and influence to get her songs played on the radio since 2003.

I was thinking about this, too. Katy Perry was raised in a conservative Evangelical household. It's interesting to me that her idea of 'witchy' came off as very Halloween, and not at all wiccan or druidic. The whole thing looked to me like the idea of Stevie Nicks, but not anything like the actual Stevie Nicks. I'm not criticizing Katy, just making an observation.
