I did it, but if they had Black Sabbath's God is Dead? listed in that section, I would've voted for it.

Just voted!

Really surprised that the Mac wasn't included in the tour poll.
I thought they did pretty well this year

With all those sold out arenas

They are in the second position. Keep voting - you can vote every hour!

Voted!

I don't think there's any way that Sad Angel could really be seen as the best song of the year. But from that list? Hands down. Who picked those songs out? Like... Dream Theater? Is this what we've come to, now? Dream Theater!?

I adore FM but cannot in all conscience vote for SA.

Would love to vote, but when I saw the other contenders I was immediately grossed out.
What kind of publication/magazine is this? And what rock are they hiding under and how long have they been there?
It's as if there is no awareness of any current music.
Kind of creepy.

Yes very very strange song choices, but I voted anyway as I love FM, and I like Sad Angel (even though its definitely not one of the best songs they've ever done)

Just a good way to draw attention to the new songs and increase Mac awareness. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

I thought SA was was pretty mediocre. Miss Fantasy, which has a wonderful melody/harmonies is not getting enough love IMO.

elle · #12 01-09-2014, 08:20 PM

yes this is a very weird list, i think it's the same site that included SA in 10 best songs of 2013.

but hey, they even have that McCartney / Grohl song on the list from Sound City soundtrack that is currently nominated for all kinds of Oscars and Grammys.

I wouldn't mind seeing Miss Fantasy somewhere in the future. Michele

Alot of old 60's 70's s. 80's hair bands there, now grey hair bands.LOL.

I cast my vote for FM.

If they were just sticking to older artists, they could've at least included David Bowie's insanely awesome album of wonder that came out this year. I just can't wrap my head around these choices.

Admittedly I'm not trying all that hard to understand, due to the fact that it's just an internet poll. But yeah.
