Was an incredibly powerful moment on stage. Lindsey DID give a nod to the wife and kids at the show though so I think it's just a stage thing!

Hi, can you give us the details?

As far as the video goes, even though she always says she has no regrets, I think I see it.. I wish somebody had videotaped HIM, I've seen 5436 videos of this song with her reaction only!

I was in about row V. It was a brief shout out to his wife/kids in the middle of one of his speeches, can't remember the exacts. I watched him through most of the song, which he spent mostly locked eyes with her as well though I wasn't close up enough to really see that great in terms of emotional content. I was more focused on listening because it was just so beautiful. Energy/emotion wise the show was the most exciting/memorable at least for me since 97 when Christine was with the group. They seemed a little tighter as a band than in the 2009 tour.

I see that too, that's what is so upsetting! And now I know his wife was there, I feel extra bad she got so upset

Stevie couldn't take her eyes off Lindsey the whole night. I honestly didn't look at him much because I ended up planted right at Stevie's feet, and once I was right there it's really hard to look away from her. The pain on her face during Say Goodbye was heartbreaking - she was definitely trying to hold back a full on breakdown, she was shaking a little like she was trying to hold everything in. There's the obvious stuff like the I love you's/"let's go home, Lindsey," and the SG dedication. During the, "I think I had met my match," lyric in Sara, she turned to Lindsey and gestured out to him and he kind of turned and walked over toward her. All kinds of smiles to each other all night, and so much love between them.

When my friends and I got back to our hotel, the power was out in a certain part so we joked that the sparks flying between Stevie and Lindsey broke Vegas, lol.

What an eventful show to be at! You guys must of had a blast! Thanks for sharing your memories I saw them in Albany months ago! I think his wife must be very sure of herself to watch that!

So his wife and kids were there. I was wondering if they were there or not. I still don't see how Kristen can handle it. Even if you say it's all for show, it's still got to hurt to see your husband on stage telling his Ex he loves her and giving beautiful dedications to her.

Whether it's friends or anything else the fact is Lindsey does actually loves Stevie. I don't see how anyone can dispute that. Mick has said it multiple times, Lindsey's has now said it on stage (obviously in front of his wife and kids) and Stevie's alluded to it in past interviews, and she even went as far as to say Lindsey is still sorry they ever broke up and if he had it to do all over again he would do things differently (I'm assuming she got this information from talking directly to Lindsey) and the loving and sweet talk between the two of them has only gotten stronger and stronger as the tour has progressed.

I don't think for one minute that Kristen doesn't like and isn't mad about it, but Lindsey does what he want's to do and you either fall in line or move on.

I've always wondered....how do you explain this all to your kids?? I know you can tell them that it's all for show and Stevie is Daddy's long time "special friend", but it's got to be confusing to them, especially Stella. Stevie comes to your house to work with daddy and is eats dinner with you and your family. Then you get to see daddy up on stage saying I love you Stevie and acting so sweet and loving towards his band mate/friend/ex-girlfriend.

It's a really messed up situation all together. The best thing for both of them when they first broke up would have been for them to just have made a clean break of it and to have never seen each other again, but then we would not have all that great Fleetwood Mac music to listen too.

You can love someone without being in love with them. I'm as big of a BN person as anyone, but I don't think there's anything bizarre about telling someone you've known for nearly half a century that you love them (although, it IS especially touching to hear it between the two of them given their roller-coaster history) so I don't think that it would require some grand explanation to his kids. You love lots of people in life, not just people that you date/marry. It's not as if Lindsey's children don't know Stevie and know they've been in a band together forever and I'm sure they probably also know they used to date. I just don't think it would be confusing - she's not a stranger, ya know?

I think they have fun up there messing with each other and being sentimental, and I think there's real love/adoration/annoyance/whatever other feelings behind it - I don't think it's all for show. But MOST of the stuff they do (there are some exceptions - neck kiss? kind of odd), while sweet and cute and all that jazz, I don't find to be totally out-of-line or cause for any sort of concern for his family. But I think I've said before that I'm an inherently emotional/touchy-feely person so maybe to others some of that seems totally weird. Or maybe I'm just becoming immune to the ridiculousness of Stevie & Lindsey's dynamic.

I agree! That's who I feel bad for is his kids because people can say its for show, and I'm sure some of it is, but when they get choked up or cry or even Lindsey saying most of his songs are about Stevie has got to count for something!

Sometimes I start to become immune and then I fall back into the trap

I agree with you there are many different kinds of love, but Stevie and Lindsey have a long and extremely documented relationship. When Stevie starts talking about how Lindsey blames Fleetwood Mac of their break up and wishes they had never joined, or the fact that (even now) he's still sorry they broke up and would do things differently if he could.. You have to think that maybe there's more to this relationship than just friendship. If he was/ is happily married or loves Stevie like a friend now, why is Lindsey still have these types of conversations with his ex girlfriend?

Also, (and I maybe totally wrong about this) but I'm not so sure his kids knew that Stevie was their dad's ex girlfriend. When Stevie did her WY story in front of Lindseys wife and kids the first time in May, 2013 she was very careful to retract parts of her story (ex: she didn't say things like... when me and Lindsey moved to LA together or when me and Lindsey lived together in L.A.) and also said she was Lindsey' s "friend" the girlfriend part of the story was dropped ..I originally thought she was being respectful to Lindseys wife and kids,(and maybe she was)but then something seemed to changed because the second time around in July, 2013 when they were in front of Lindseys wife and kids, Stevie all but made Lindsey do the "you have to take my girlfriend too " part of the story.... which to me he seemed very uncomfortable doing.

If his kids were aware that Stevie was Lindsey' s ex girlfriend then I don't see why Stevie changed her story the first time she told it in front of his kids and refered to herself as dad's friend unless the kids didn't know they use to date/live together and as they grew closer throughout the tour though it seems Stevie decided to stop pretending and wanted to be honest and not hide their past relationship anymore though I'm not sure why..

No, I don't think you could ever classify Stevie and Lindsey as plain old friends - like you said, there's too much baggage/history/drama between the two of them.

I just don't think any of that negates the possibility of also loving someone in a completely non-romantic way on top of all the messy stuff. I've heard many a divorced couple express sentiments to the same effect.

I think it's highly, highly unlikely that his children don't know they used to be an item. I've never known any parents to hide the fact that they had other relationships before their marriage from their kids - it'd be pretty pointless and silly if they did. And it seems especially pointless and silly if those people are still a part of their life, and even more pointless and silly if those relationships are public knowledge and heavily discussed, which is the case with Stevie and Lindsey. They probably don't go around talking about it all the time, and Lindsey's children probably don't know a whole bunch of details, but I'd bet my left pinky toe that they're aware.
