My current sig pic is of an evangelist named Jan Crouch. She was very popular in the 1980's and 1990's on TV. I used to watch her just because she wore the same clothes that Stevie wore. She had really big hair that was probably a wig, but it blended well with those outfits. She came back into my memory because her husband, also an evangelist, recently passed away. One show that clearly stands out in my mind is the trip she took to the Holy Land. She stood on the top of some cliff and out stretched her arms and her beautiful shawl flowed in the wind.

I got tumbled over in the sea a few years back, and hit my head on the floor 3 times (it felt like my head was hitting concrete). I was sure when I came up out of the water I was going to be paralysed. Incredibly my neck was ok, I just had a lot of pain for 3 weeks afterwards. I remember the sense of relief was huge when I realised I was ok. It certainly makes you feel grateful

I sure hope you still had yourself checked out by a doctor with a proper MRI to find out about any future repercussions though. The ocean can be a very scary place despite its beauty.

Well I went to A&E, I can't remember exactly what they did as it was over 10years ago. I didn't have an MRI, but they told me I was ok. It was so scary though. The shock got to me more than anything. Thinking back, I still can't believe I was ok. I really did feel like this:

It happened at Bondi beach in Australia, the waves there are well known for dumping foreigners who don't have enough experience in the sea. I'd always loved bodyboarding since I was a kid, but ever since that happened I'm now frightened of big waves. I still love the sea but I'm also really wary of it.

Ice is another scary thing. I've had some pretty scary moments in cars, or from just falling over on ice.

Wow .Thats nice. You always can go to your local library and lurk from there.I've done that many of times when my computer goes belly up.

I remember back in the 1990's before myself and my parents got a computers I was up at the library on their computer browsing NicksFix and other sites at the time .
At that time I had to wait until one of the four computers was available. They give you only 30 minute sessions then. Now they have about 20 computers and give you 1 hour a session.

Since I dont have a cell phone that will go online .Library is my choice.

I only go up to the library now when my ISP connection is dead for a good length of time and just to check my email and the forums.

Show us some pix of your new flooring if you dont mind.

I see kids are still throwing snowballs.I got slammed in the windshield in my travels tonight.Luckily it did not break .
I'm surprise it was not a hand grenade especially the way this nutty world is getting too.

Hahahahaha I.m glad they did not use a rock for a core in the snowball.Welcome back Mark. How do you like your new floor.
What you get.Hard wood oak put in or Pergo flooring done.

I remember when my parents had their oak refinish back around 1981 when Stevie's Belladonna was released Thats how I remember when it was done..The fumes were so bad it made me sick .It stinked for about 2 months of paint.

I love my new floor and the value it has brought to my condo. It is a wood laminate floor in a light shade. I can smell the freshness of it but it is not overbearing. Even a new car interior smells brighter than this.

It was wonderful.
Doesn't it seem like us three are the only people posting in JTIS lately with an occasional Dex thrown in?

Your floor sounds great. Light wood - good choice. A new floor can make such a big difference to a room/house.

Yes you are right, it has been mainly the three of us - I just had a look back

Anyone else have anything to add in here?

I'm glad you love your new floor.I'm glad its not a floor refinishing job.You will gag with the horrible fumes it puts out.
