This is the best news I've heard in awhile. It sounds like John should be playing at the Vegas show if everything goes well, and hopefully the band will start the tour back up in 2014.

Apparently what Mr. Mayall said was also audio recorded because I just heard it, in his voice, on a Sirius radio station. He said that John was about to go to the beach when he called.

Has anyone considered the possibility that once John's health improves his priorities in life may change...Being told you have cancer is a big wake up call and he may decide that the time he spends with his family or boat are more important to him than FM and that it's time to retire...
