This thread just goes to show there are two kinds of people....those who blame everyone else for their poor decisions (or feel the need to partially blames someone else) and people who fully accept responsibility for their actions. Both sides think the other side is wrong. I don't think that if someone is too stupid to know the dangers of a med is an excuse either. People have been wise to snake oil salesmen and the dangers of meds for 100 years.

'Nuff said.

Ps- in regards to the Michael Jackson comment made in a post above, you are comparing apples and oranges, MJ DIED while the Dr. was supposed to be monitoring his vitals instead of talking on the phone (with his girlfriend) outside room MJ was in. Big difference. If MJ had not died he would not go to jail for Manslaughter. The issue wasn't the prescribed meds (it was totally legal to give propofol intravenously at home) it was the negligence of walking out of the room to take a phone call for approx 5 minutes while he was under.

It is not about letting the doctor off the hook. It is about not letting Stevie off the hook which people are too quick to do. Stevie didn't survive drug addiction--she survived herself and her irresponsible decisions.

Stevie doesn't need to do anything shes been sober for 20yrs. Her process just like anyone else is their own journey to sobriety. There isn't a right or a wrong way to do it as long as the end result is the same.

it is NOT legal OR ethical to give propofol to anyone anywhere as a sleep aid. period.

OMG, I for one (among many other fans here) Just want one more album from the FAB 5 even without a full tour with Chris. It's time the band take stock (and yes, even cash in on what they have going for them.)

As grown adults here, we all know time is against the band and all of us. Special Speedy to John....I HOPE I am wrong. Yes I would like another SN album at this point...BUT NOT before another 5-piece MAC album. She can do that later in her own time.

And while I'm at it, I might as well say it....so tired of comming to the ledge for comfort and comrodairy and hearing about "I Know Someone who Know's Someone that ONCE cut Stevie's Dog's hair" and by their calculations' this is what is best for Stevie and the Band right now.....BLAH< BLAH...bluck.

Can we all RIGHT NOW just come together and HOPE/PRAY for the best of ALL Members Past and Present?

PEACE OUT the Ledge and it's members...best wishes for all members and the band as well....hope it is NOT the end forever.

Yes, actually it was legal. Propfol usage, at the time of MJs death, was not regulated, meaning it could be administered by a doctor, who was not an anesthesiologist, for use outside the operating room.

Christine quit the band turned her back and walked away...Why should she be allowed to return??? As far as Stevie goes she has a limited amount of time left in her career and she has even said she has to be careful with what projects she chooses to spend her time on...If FM does one last cash grab record and tour Stevie would be almost 70 by the time her next record comes out...Sorry for the comments but is "Mama's sandbox" the place to whine about Christine or another FM record???

I'm thinking Stevie will go with her heart and do another solo album, but that her and Lindsey will work on new tracks for BN. FM is too time consuming. However, Lindsey and Stevie are working on rearranging a track for American Horror Story, so who knows.

Are you forgetting that Stevie also walked out on Fleetwood Mac after 1990? That Lindsey Buckingham did after 1987? Should they not have been allowed to return, either?

Christine, Mick, Lindsey, Stevie, and John ARE Fleetwood Mac. They're the most successful lineup of one of the best known bands of all time. Any one of them should be allowed to return to the ranks whenever they please.

Regarding another solo album from Stevie... I don't see that happening before another Mac album now that John has been diagnosed with cancer. I think John's getting sick will probably change all of the Rumours folks priorities.

Fleetwood Mac fell flat on it's face without Stevie & Lindsey (remember "The Time" years) on the other hand FM has done quite well for it's self without Christine...Is Fleetwood Mac the same without her??? No...If the band is going to record again it should be for the right reasons not the wrong ones...The only reason I see for them to get back together is because when they were all in the same room recently something clicked and they said "Let's make another record"...If they are making another record because "we might not get another chance" or "we could make a lot of money" then those are the wrong reasons...Please don't bother...The last time they recorded an entire album as "The 5" was Tango 26 years ago...Will bringing Christine back return them to the 80's glory??? Not likely... I just don't like the way this whole thing is unfolding...While John's situation is terrible and completely unexpected everything else about this reeks of Mick's sneaky underhanded "I do what I have to do" band politics...Stevie has kind of put it out there that she doesn't want another FM record...I'm sure Mick thinks if he can get Chris on board (which explains Chris coming out of hiding) Stevie will change her mind...I can hear Mick now "Hi Christine...Stevie says she'll make another FM record if you will"..."Hey Stevie I talked to Chris and she says she'll do another record if you will"...Not to mention the fact that Mick now has the "this is our last chance" card up his sleeve and can't wait to use it... Who's to say it wont just be more of the same??? Lindsey whines because he has to use his "solo" stuff for FM and he has to "fix" Stevie's songs...Stevie doesn't like what Lindsey does with her songs or the album in general...I just don't think Lindsey can get out of Stevie what Dave did...

I sure hope Mick is doing this. I've been trying to talk to him telepathically at night before I go to sleep and if he hears me, this is what he's been doing since Hawaii. So, go Mick . See you in my dreams buddy, because you're the one who is making them come true. Hopefully.

This is exactly what he seems to be doing...He's playing games with both SN & LB...Stevie isn't crazy about a new FM record & LB doesn't seem very interested with Christine returning...Not only that but he has to convince Buckingham/Nicks to go from being the sole singer/songwriters of the band to being 1/3rd which would pay less...Stevie and Lindsey are very cozy these days and have both expressed an interest in "going out the way they came in with Buckingham/Nicks" So Mick might want to throw caution to the wind because if this backfires he could end up with nothing...

I think Stevie should go with her heart. I do think they need to do something with that Buckingham/Nicks album though.
