Stevie as a neighbor

I don't think that I'd make a good neighbor for Ms. Nicks. Apart from liking loud music, we wouldn't have anything in common, except love for her music. Heck, she'd probably tell me to turn down the heavy metal that I like to crank up. I don't like small dogs much. I am a cat person. I also *hate* fashion. Her eccentric tastes would clash with my toned down tastes We might strike up a casual friendship, but noting else.

But as far as neighbors coming into contact with Stevie, when it comes to her condo, unless she has a private elevator, she'd have to come into contact with her neighbors to some extent. And Karen can't shoo them away like she does the fans who stalk Stevie on the street.

Or maybe it's just one of those condos where you pull into your individual unit. But if it's one with an elevator ... you have every opportunity to ask her to borrow a cup of sugar.

Regarding her being a good neighbor... I don't know. She likes to listen to her music "really loud" per her own admission. When she records albums at her home, you know that kerfuffle has to be seen/heard by her neighbors. Especially when they are bringing in live animals & giant lights for night photo/video shoots, etc. Not to mention, being a neighbor, you'd likely have Stevie Stalkers trespassing/peppering you with questions.

I agree. Karen is way too much of a control freak to allow anyone near Stevie. I think Karen plays off of Stevie's agorphobia and uses that to keep her sheltered. AND Stevie feeds off that "garbo" mentality. I have always said that some of the people Stevie surrounds herself with are far more dangerous than most of her fans. Karen is the worst thing that ever happened to Stevie (well, lets not forget Karen's sister Kelly, she was a real piece of work) and yet Stevie seems so beholden to Karen she won't cut her lose. It is almost like an abused woman who stays with her abuser because she loves them and doesn't want to lose them. So if you have Stevie for a neighbor, that means you have Karen for a neighbor and personally I would move before living in the same condo building with that darkness.

I probably could do without the noise from the fans if I was next door to a celeb.

I have enough problems here with the neighbors dogs barking at 6 in the morning.

Kelly and Karen are sister's. Kelly used to have Karen's job. I think reebockandlace really means what she says but IMO Karen is really good for Stevie. I believe the Karen haters are the people who have been kept away from Stevie by Karen. I would bet that Karen works very hard for Stevie. Karen makes it possible for Stevie to not have to worry about the details. I hope she keeps Karen in her employ forever.

Correct about Kelly being Karen's sister. Incorrect about your assumption that most Karen haters hate her because she kept them from Stevie. Karen has never kept me away from Stevie. But I still don't like Karen based on what I have seen and heard. She has a darkness around her that I just don't like. JMO....for what it worth.
