I nearly cried when watching that, and I rarely show emotion.

I seriously hope that that wasn't a goodbye in any form. I think that with John being very ill, Stevie realized that the number of times that she'll do Landslide with Lindsey are slowly ticking down.

Yeah I noticed that too and thought she was just being Stevie.

So, now Stevie and Lindsey fired the other guys in their band "for personal reasons" and not because they had no choice (and were heartbroken) when they found out the record company didn't want them?

Yes. That and it would have lengthened the story by 5 minutes.

What I gathered from that statement was "the one more time" meant they had one more show to do to wrap up the European Tour. Hence, one more time to tell the WY story before the Aus./NZ segment of the tour. The sweedish show was on a Wednesday. John could have gotten the bad news on Thursday or Friday. And the last show was Saturday night. I don't think they knew about John's diagnosis until after the Wed. show. But really, what the heck do I know. I'm just speculating.

Could be. I was putting 2 and 2 together from Lindsey's choking up on SG.

When I heard theat WY intro, at first I thought, "so she's not doing the WY intro in Aus/NZ?" But then I reasoned that she must have just meant the end of this leg.

Now, I think they probably knew then that there wasn't goin to be another leg.

Additionally, news like this often punches you in the gut and makes you reevaluate all of the relationships in your life. John being ill was likely a reality check that none of them, herself and Lindsey included, are infallible. I could easily see that prompting her to speak out her gratitude as she did. Although I think the passing of her mother had much of the same effect, it still isn't quite the same as when someone your own age and on your own "level" per say falls into a tragic circumstance. That's when the "it could have been me" or "it could have been you" sort of feelings really start to bubble over. Gives you a new perspective and makes you realize how important people are in your life.
I agree with all of this, 100%. This band has so much history together; I'm sure they're all feeling emotional- Stevie is just usually the one to vocalize it.

Oh, for some reason this statement resonated with me. I'm not ready...

I was there, in Amsterdam. It was a very vivid, heartfelt and driven show. The fact that they dropped 4 songs (elles list is correct), was due to the techprobs. But to be honest, the whole show blew me away, and it felt like their last ever ( in Europe) to me. I did not know about John until the next day. he played fabulous. It was the best show I ever saw from them, with a tremendous pace.

When did Lindsey choke up during say goodbye during this tour??

What a show to have attended in person! I get chills thinking about what it must have been like to be in the audience. Although, I might have been mourning the songs that were dropped, initially, once I heard the news, I would have realized how lucky I'd been.

We were talking about the Say Goodbye from 10/23.

I remember Stevie saying to John that when they got to Australia she would tell ANOTHER part of the WY story and maybe he would want to chip in then. Kind of sad in retrospect.

Looking at the WY from 10/23, I bet when she turned to him, she didn't even want to look at him for too long as she spoke. Then, for the final bow, there's that one picture someone posted where it looks like John may have made a comment and Lindsey is looking at him and laughing.

Talking Lindsey´s lip licking

OK, let´s get in shipper mood for a moment.

I´ve noticed that Lindsey sometimes licks his lips before leaning in on Stevie during concerts.
In another video he kisses his wife and he does the exact same routine with the lip licking. The difference is that he doesn´t look as obsessed as he tend to do when Stevie´s the object...

What do we make of this?

I don't know, but as much as I laugh at the things Lindsey does (I think he has a thing for her hair), when I was looking at the tall guy in Lady Antebellum stooping down to lean into Stevie it seemed so weird. I thought, "Oh my goodness. I'm glad Lindsey's not tall enough to do that."

This is exactly what I meant. I think history has proven that Stevie and Lindsey can never quite say goodbye to each other.
