Everything I've heard about the lady leads me to believe she'd be overwhelmingly welcoming.

She probably doesn't invite just anyone into her house.. but if she did invite you in - good luck getting out of there.

If you're a young kid doing something annoying, I bet she'd give you a good lecture.

Otherwise, I think she'd be a great and friendly neighbor, telling you her stories and even sending you some kind of gift when holiday time came around.

I completely agree, as long as you become neighborly in a natural way. You wouldn't get anywhere with a pre-conceived gimmick to meet the famous woman next door, but as a genuine neighbor I bet she would be the best.

For instance, remember that she said that she trained her dog completely herself one time. So, although I'm sure that someone else walks the dogs mostly, she probably walks them herself on occasion or at least she might accompany the dog walker. If you're out there with your own dog and you cross her path a couple of times and you actually live in the neighborhood (and aren't some interloper), I bet it wouldn't be hard to strike up a friendly acquaintance at all.

Well, nowadays I'm sure she would be a great neighbor. Back in the day? Wild nights of cocaine fueled craziness, late night partying, setting fire to the yard. And if you think I'm exaggerating the last one just check out the commentary track on the first Stand Back video where she said she set fire to the lawn of the Beverly Hills mansion for the shot of Atlanta burning because "we didn't care, we were young". LOL.

I can't imagine you'd ever see her if you were her neighbor. I'd have to imagine at her condo building, she's shuffled straight from the car into her door by Karen, and any conversation anybody would try to strike up with her in the halls would be shut down by Karen. In her house, she is probably never seen outside of her high gated walls.

Regarding her being a good neighbor... I don't know. She likes to listen to her music "really loud" per her own admission. When she records albums at her home, you know that kerfuffle has to be seen/heard by her neighbors. Especially when they are bringing in live animals & giant lights for night photo/video shoots, etc. Not to mention, being a neighbor, you'd likely have Stevie Stalkers trespassing/peppering you with questions.

I would love to have her as a neighbor.I would hear her singing her heart out and I would never have to turn on my radio ever again.

I can go over and mow her lawn too.

Good post. If we were her neighbor's we'd be just as rich as she is! The music would be the best. We'd get to hear all the demos!

Remember a number of years ago there was a magazine interview where she and the girls admitted they were spying on the neighbors down the hill from them with binoculors? Can we say, peeping Tom?

It would surely be easy to strike up a friendly conversation with her, especially if you have a cute little friendly dog as well. I'm sure Stevie can't resist those sweet little fur baby (dog) faces!
I can imagine her out walking a pup...but holding a little dooty bag? not so much.

Is it in the Rooms on Fire video commentary that Stevie talks about neighbors calling the cops because they were concerned about the fire that Stevie's crew set (for the video)? Anybody remember this?

Bingo! My name probably have to be Skip Gates or Skip Trump .LOL...

As long as her dog dont bark all day like they do here .I'll be ok.

Yes I can walk her dog too for a soda.

Yes I would love to hear her sing those demos out.

The peeping Tom thing could land somebody in trouble and a punch in the nose.LOL...

I'd imagine a Stevie sighting is pretty rare for her neighbours. The SUV that chauffeurs her around probably pulls straight into her driveway behind the big gates and then back out with her in it. I also can't see Stevie walking her dog up and down the street. She probably plays with it in the grounds of her property and then lets someone else take it around the block or to the local park. Saying that, it is funny to imagine Stevie milling around her neighbourhood in rock star shades while holding a poo bag just in case her dog does anything.

Even though Stevie would probably never scoop after her dog, I can see her holding the plastic bag because she seems like the type of person who loves such accessories. I can imagine her liking to dress as if she's getting down to business, when she's really not. Like when she describes her cleaning lady attire, like Carol Burnett used to look. Stevie probably didn't need all of that to help her clean, but I think she liked the IDEA of yellow rubber gloves, smocks, etc.

I used to have a friend who always talked about going into business for himself and the first thing he wanted to do was design the business cards, rather than getting into the nitty gritty of operation and actually selling services.

I think I remember something like that. With Lady Antebellum Stevie joked that her neighbors probably heard her playing all of their music and were puzzled because they thought Stevie was in Fleetwood Mac!

But actually, if all Stevie did was play FM music all of the time, that would be a little sad.
