First of all, they're Lhasa Apsos.

Second, I would consider your whole shebang the final fanfare with THAT lineup. After that, Mick and John can maybe coax Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer back to the band even for a short while and go back to their roots.

Sure, they need a break after a long tour. Fine...don't spend the band's "break" doing your own stuff. Take a REAL BREAK.

Then once everybody is refreshed, get your asses in the studio & do a full-length album...make it the last one. Let Fleetwood Mac have it's big farewell album & tour...announce it ahead of time so we can all say goodbye instead of "oh, the tour's over, what's next for Fleetwood Mac?". No, one last album, even if it is a double, triple, whatever length, just do one last album, released with all the fanfare they can muster. Make every tour stop an EVENT, not just another concert in another town. Like the Stones...bring some guests up for a song in each town...bring the Little Big Town people up for a song; Lady Antebellum; Natalie Maines, Walter Egan. Stretch the shows an extra half-hour so you can play more tunes from earlier incarnatons. It's the last tour, make it extra-special. Crap, they've already lost Welch, Weston & Brunning...what's it gonna take? Yeah, we just saw what we thought was "the impossible" with Christine playing ONE SONG two consecutive nights. Ok, she wants to regain "the spirit of the music"...do the entire process, the final album, the final tour...then go back to your Shi-tzu's. PROVE YOUR LOVE...PROVE you'd "Do it all over again".
yeah yeah yeah whateva.

this is a LB solo forum so please do not be so surprised that many people actually prefer LB solo here. sorry, no FM, no compromises it seems to entail, no big bucks is what some of us prefer.

hm, like Stones did, with the cheapest ticket $600?! not every stop was an event, just a few really big ones. DC was the last stop if i recall correctly, and it was more regular run of the mill show. no special guests. for $600-$800 regular tickets and that's not the floor. no thank you.

Lady Antebellum? yet another reason for no more FM. you all keep spitting on EP, because it was too soft pop for you it seemed? how much softer that Lady A can you go? i can't listen to their songs when they come on at some award show, let alone pay big bucks to hear them with Mac!

you convinced me ChiliD. solo LB. final answer.
(as if i needed convincing )

although if CM would be open to contribute to the album, i might rethink - just to get that album out.

Final answer: If it's gonna be a FM album, Christine has to be there. If not, well more solo stuff. *Connects to Lindsey mind for telepathic communication* Do an album with Christine. Just the two of you.

Whatever...dogs have the same DNA profile no matter the breed.

Line-up, Schmynup. Doesn't matter...just go out with something SPECIAL. Even if it IS during the encore of the final show ever having just Mick, John, Peter & Jeremy play 2 songs...Full circle, call it a wrap and move on. We can't have any of the Bob's come out for a final bow, now can we? They COULD have some friends they've met along the way come out & do a song. Just have to check their GD egos at the arena entrance and get that they're wrapping up nearly 50 years of band history...and that it began WITHOUT a few people in the current presentation. They weren't there in the beginning...but yeah, they'll be around for the end, so let those that have had a say in what has occurred during the "journey of Fleetwood Mac" a little bit of the spotlight. Again, goes back to my rant in '94...Buckingham & Nicks aren't the be all & end all of Fleetwood Mac. Yes, they were there when the money came rolling in and that's about as far as it goes. Wouldn't say that they were there when they were making the most creative music in the band's history, but that's up to the individual taste.

I don't consider BN the end all and be all of FM either (mind you, the Heroes lineup is my favorite), but people consider them as such so they've gotta milk it for all that's worth. The final show should be in the UK, though. Full circle.

well, i don't consider FM (or BN) be all and end all.

but as far as choices on these boards go, i do consider LB be all end all.

(regardless of PG being complete and unbelievable genius. the rest of them, eh. not in my book.)

So you would follow him if he played in some obscure place in Wisconsin?

I was making a reference to the backstage footage, but I didn't know he played there solo (only started following his solo career very recently)

But that sounds like a great show!

It's wonderful, and kind of amazing, that you would have mentioned it, actually!

Though, even with Christine on board, I'd still want solo tour first, and foremost, followed by solo album.
