Come on Ledgies, all Landslide dedications need to be recorded during these next few shows!
It was the Unleashed one which no-one appears to have recorded.

There was a brief, blurry video from the 2003 Landslide, taken from what looked like the front row, in which Stevie dedicated the song to Chris and Lindsey blew a kiss (out to wherever Chris was!).

I think I would get a kick out of that.

Chris isn't going to back out of London. I think maybe she just wasn't ready to play Dublin and that's why no one said she would. She will be getting in several days more rehearsal for the London shows this way.

I think her stepping out for the IYD premiere and having all of those flashes in her face again and smiling through it all probably was good training too.

I just wish we could hope for more than Don't Stop. What I'm worried about is that we will have just that one song. Michele

As would I. All we ever got was a photograph of them after the SYW show. And of course, Christine constantly talking about how fatigued they were.

Now you're making me fantasize that they didn't do Oh Well because they wanted to concentrate on other things.

But I didn't want Oh Well anyway, so maybe its absence is all the wish fulfillment I'm destined to get.

Well, if that's all we get, I can live with it. Having her back, even for a few minutes and one song is a bonus I thought we would never see. OK, "Don't Stop" is not the greatest song, and in her own words, it's just a bit of a shuffle, but that, to me at least links the Rumours Mac to its predecessors...try playing Lazy Poker Blues or Stop Messin' Around from Mr Wonderful , both of them with Chris on piano and then put on Don't Stop to see what I mean.

Hell, she's played with everyone (bar Bob Brunning) who's ever been in this band.. she's part of the silken thread that runs through it. Whatever makes her happy is fine by me.

Today I wondered whether she might play on GYOW but I just think it'll be Don't Stop. Frankly, you'll still be able to knock me down with a feather if she actually comes up on stage on Wed and Fri!

Good grief. It's not long. I'm travelling to London Thursday night and staying with my brother. It hasn't sunk in yet; I have so much to do at work before then that I am not getting too excited...

^ This.

'Silken thread'. How lovely and how apt.

I think she should concentrate more on making me happy, starting in 1997 when a heads up that that was the end would have been greatly appreciated.

It's been downhill from there.

Well, I was pretty unhappy that the Dance tour never got extended to Europe, but I got over it. We don't own these people, do we? They don't exist just to make us happy. They have their own lives to lead, imperfect or otherwise.

I am happy if the five of them appear at London. As you say, we didn't get The Dance, nor was there a European leg of the Mirage tour.

No, I think they exist to make me happy, so I repeat that I have been owed since 1997.

How many IOUs did they give you?

Yeah, I was thinking 16 years now. They start to add up.

So, I want something more than Don't Stop, another song, and I was also thinking that I deserve some really good PDA.

You know when Lindsey came for the BTM tour, Christine was kissing and touching him and putting her fingers through his hair, so I was thinking that maybe this time Stevie and Lindsey could run their fingers through Christine's hair. That would be nice!

Remember in the Tusk photo shoot when the photographer said her hair was too flat and both Stevie and Lindsey tried to fluff it up for her? That was so delightful.

Michele
