Thumbs up Honda Civic Tour 2013

Hey everyone! I took a late vacation this year. Don't know if anyone else caught the Honda Civic Tour this year, but I did in Virginia Beach on Sept. 8th. It was Tony Lucca (from The Voice), Kelly Clarkson (from American Idol & the only true idol to me anyway) & Maroon 5. Awesome show. My husband had said that he didn't really want to see Fleetwood Mac this year, so I said how about Kelly & Adam in VA Beach? I got pit tickets (standing only) through Kelly's site like in April. I got my husband some ear plugs (they weren't that loud.) That night it was very muggy. There was a line getting in the venue & it took 1/2 hr. getting out of the parking lot, but it was really worth it. The rest of our vacation that week didn't compare. Then I got a sinus infection & I'm still recovering from this. If you really like KC & M5 & haven't seen them during this tour, I'd recommend it.

We've actually seen M5 twice before & Kelly once. And yes, when M5 came out, the audience was so loud clapping & cheering, I had to hold my ears. Oh & I got zonked on the head by one of those gigantic balls while I was recording a M5 song. And when Adam took his shirt off, the audience went a little nuts, too.

Smile My video

Here is my video of Kelly singing Walk Away in Virginia Beach. I love the added horns & she jazzed it up a bit.

Hopefully this will work. It took an hour to download but the video is less than three minutes.

Well, unfortunately I did get hit by one of those huge balls while I was just starting to record Maroon 5's Sunday Morning. And after I stopped recording, I let my husband have it because I told him since we were in the pit, to protect me from everything, well, mostly I meant people. And we stayed as far back from the stage as we could, so we wouldn't get crushed, mostly when M5 came out. Well, anyway, I didn't get hurt. No harm, no foul. I also recorded She Will be Loved & I was worried I was going to run out of memory because it went on for 8 minutes! Plus I had to start & stop it when Adam said that there was two things that he always checked for before a show. And I'm thinking, I can't put that on YouTube. But anyway, I had a good time. Not sure if hubby did or not; I just drag him along. Hey, he had a choice, Fleetwood Mac or Honda Civic Tour & he chose Honda Civic Tour.

I just saw the Honda Civic Tour in Dallas, TX this past Sunday night. Had lawn seats but smack dab in the middle and they turned out to be great, fun seats.

The opening for ours was PJ Morton (who is the keyboardist of Maroon 5...). He was okay. Then came Kelly Clarkson!! She has an AMAZING voice live. That girl can sing. I have seen her before in concert. She made a couple hilarious lesbian jokes.

Maroon 5 was awesome and energetic! I have never seem them before in concert. Adam Levin can actually sing really well live. I was shocked. He didn't have as much banter with the audience as Kelly... until the very end during the encore. All in all, a great set by them. Loved the lasers and loudness of it all.
