Unexpected FM

I was in Arundel Castle the other week. Which is a bit ol' local castle-come-stately-home with bits dating back to the middle ages:



Pretty, right?

So. In the cafe on the first floor they were, strangely enough, playing Paper Doll. Which totally did not match the setting at all, in my mind, to the point that I didn't even really register what the song was until my husband pointed it out to me excitedly towards the end of its run. And uh, yeah. There was a bit of grooving to be had after that. Life was good.

I don't even especially like Paper Doll, but any obscure SN song played in the middle of a historic English site is going to bring me some joy. Yes, even you, Jane.
