If all else fails, blame Stevie....
http://malden.patch.com/groups/polic...made-him-do-it A Malden man was arraigned this week on a warrant charging him with stealing a commercial ferry boat from Boston Harbor last Christmas, prosecutors said Wednesday. Samuel LeClair, 62, of Malden was arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court after he was arrested on a warrant for alleged larceny over $250 as well as breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony. Authorities said a "disheveled and uncooperative" LeClair was discovered alone on-board a vessel adrift in Boston Harbor shortly before noon Dec. 25. The boat, the 68-foot passenger ferry Fort Independence, was later secured to the Federal Courthouse docks. The story has another strange twist: LeClair reportedly told police he had untied the boat at the behest of his girlfriend, famed Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, whom he identified as the boat's captain and driver. "Police did not locate the iconic singer-songwriter or any other person on-board," a statement from the Suffolk District Attorney's Office read. LeClair was deemed competent to assist in his own defense, and was released by Judge Thomas C. Horgan on his own recognizance. He has been ordered to stay away from the waterfront and not board any boat while his case is pending.
