^ I think she means that Jessica was barely a teenager when Lori back to touring & Jessica did end up having some problems shortly after that. Not to say that was the cause of her problems, but perhaps it had something to do with it.

Depends on what you're taking it for. I'm not saying that this doc was not at fault, but would Stevie realistically have had a case against him? Probably not.

Pill party, skittle party, pharm party...

These parties are all too common. I personally would be terrified to take anything that I didn't know for sure what it was, but some people want the risk/thrill, I guess. I think it's insane.

Terrified enough without the red wine and a joint.

Even scarier, the klono appears to be prescribed "as needed," while the Lortab is to be taken "as directed." When she was talking about all the different pill combos, was she including the lortab? That sounded like a lot for her body. It would kill her before it made her lethargic!

OMG I never noticed that! Someone should ask Stevie about that. Was that her naivety speaking? The drugs? Or did she really feel the Klonopin helped at first?

This might be alittle off topic. A few years ago As was a Saturday emergency call to My Dentist .For the weekend .My dentist put me on Vicodin for a tooth infection along with antibiotics. I was worried about getting hooked on Vicodin like some people do..I took about 3 of them as directed for the weekend and end up sleeping and feeling odd with no freaking mouth pain.By Sunday night the Vicodin faded away the pain was very little and I said that it for taking the Vicodin .On Monday I stop by his office and let him check things out which were good news as the infection went away.

After dealing with that .I can understand how people get hooked on meds.

I'm Glad that Stevie over powered herself to get off these meds .I'm proud of her doing so and lend a helping hand out to people in need.

Thank You Stevie. I don't know what to do without you.

No Lisa, you got that wrong. Look at the pic you posted. It clearly shows "as directed" for the klono.

Not at all pleased that Oprah took a segment from the IYD doc and passed it off as part of her Stevie story telling session.

I don't think she could do that without permission, so Stevie and/or Stevie's people must have been ok with it.

I know permission was given. I have a problem with that because Oprah's editor probably had 2 hours of Stevie talking to choose from and didn't have to take time from another piece of film to do it.

I wish that Oprah and Stevie plugged the Docu more on Masterclass.

It would make screenings sellout altogether for Stevie and Dave.

Been a loooong time since I posted to the ledge. Been lurking of late. ;-)

Anyway, I just watched "Master Class" and wondered if you all had thoughts on the text that appeared in the background during the transitions between segments. It doesn't appear to be a simple transcription of what we hear Stevie say during the show. But, it's definitely written in the first person - you can see "I" throughout much of the text. Anyone have opinions on whether the text is Stevie's own words? Journal entries? I would be surprised if she opened her journals...even to Oprah.

Hello. I didn't look closely enough to identify her handwriting, but since fans have seen excerpts of her journals I wouldn't be surprised if she made select pages open to the Oprah crew as exemplars.

Yes, you are right. Klonopin is prescribed "as directed." Lortab is typically prescribed "as needed" with some limitations to quantity. I believe the Lortab prescription is from a dentist. That is a very common Rx if someone has had a root canal or an extraction. It is usually a limited prescription. The fact that they may have been taken simultaneously is not that unusual if someone is taking Klonopin and happens to have a dental procedure performed. However, as others have said, Klonopin is usually not prescribed for extended periods unless it is prescribed for a convulsive disorder (anti-convulsive being the original intent of the drug).
