Does anyone believe it could ever be agreed upon by the band to have Dave Stewart produce the next Mac album and have it released under LMJS Productions?

I'd stop listening to Fleetwood Mac.

No, I highly doubt it.

I think he'd be great producing Fleetwood Mac.
He did a great job producing Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, why wouldn't he be great with FM. And he has a son named Django! I think it's good to be open-minded when it comes to music. Republican-style thinking never bodes well with art. |

I think Dave Stewart's signature slick production style worked wonderfully for In Your Dreams, but applying that formula to Fleetwood Mac just wouldn't work. Stevie's solo career & Fleetwood Mac are entirely different animals. Everthing I've ever heard Dave produce just sounds too heavy handed for it to work with Fleetwood Mac. Not to mention I surmise egos would not allow it; I think a fresh producer would have to be brought in. I doubt Stevie would work with Mitchell Froom because Stevie would likely fear he'd be partial to Lindsey. The same goes for Dave Stewart; I doubt Lindsey would want to retread Stevie's solo values within Fleetwood Mac.

![]() I wonder who came up with the idea, how the order got chosen, etc. It's alphabetical when considering their last name, but not by the first initials they used, obviously.

I guess you have to keep it mind it took them months of negotiations to come up with the title "Extended Play". No telling how long it took for them to come to a agreement on LMJS.

So, if they'd used sir names it would have been BFMN. Maybe they did do it alphabetically, but just thought that LMJS was easier to say -- if anyone would ever have a reason to say it. Michele |
