Hi! I have been lurking here for quite awhile and thought it was finally time to post. I was at the Detroit show on Wed. and had the time of my life! I've been a fan for 20 years and this was my third show, having seen the Dance in '97 and SYW Tour in '03. (I also had the pleasure of seeing Lindsey solo back in '93, opening for Tina Turner. I think he was supporting Out of the Cradle, which I love!) While my first FM show will always probably be my favorite, this show ran a very close second. My husband bought floor seats for us as a 40th bday present to me and, through the kindness of strangers, somehow ended up just a few feet away from Lindsey! I was completely entranced by him...And I totally agree with the above post re. the energy of the audience and their interaction with the band.
Also, from where I was standing, I noticed the exact same thing where Lindsey was sitting off to the side during the drum solo on World Turning. I thought it was so cool to just watch him REACT to someone else's playing that I tried to snap a picture. It didn't turn out well, but here it is for what it's worth... By the way, I am loving the Ledge! Even though I had never posted before, I have discovered many different videos, rare demos, etc. through you guys. And thanks to the Ledge, I was even able to tune in to the FM marathon for a little bit yesterday while I was still on a high from the show! Thank you!! |
