Other bands I like have stayed away from the big label pressures and tried to stay true to themselves and make cohesive albums: Caitlin Rose, Vanessa Carlton (well, only Rabbits on the Run), Joss Stone, Bonnie Raitt. They wouldn't allow themselves to be molded into "what sells" in this day and age, because then their music would lose a lot of its honesty.

I've never listened to Grace Potter actually but will definitely, but the stuff before that producer came in.
I love how you consider Bonnie Raitt to be a "new artist" lol. She's great though. I really liked her last album, she still has it. There's a song called "God only knows" i love it.
Joss Stone is excellent, Caitlin Rose covers a lot of Fleetwood Mac songs and does it well.
