Loved it. The other is an article on Lindsey. Something seems so odd about his response. He is talking and if I did not know he is supposed to have a wife by name of Kristen, I would think he is talking about Stevie being his wife. He never mentions Kristen by name AGAIN. I have recentely gotten this computer and am a complete idiot about the "know how" of linking anything on Firefox. But I know how to copy and paste. Part of the article written by Julia St. Pierre/Los Angeles Magazine reads:

(Lindsey speaking)
I had a house up in Bel-Air for a long time. It was not a family house; it was a bachelor house. So we bulldozed it. My wife was quite happy because there was a lot of symbolism to having everything that went before bulldozed. We are in Brentwood now. We needed to come down off the hill.

I’ve thought about whether it would be advisable or possible to move out, but this is the thing about Los Angeles: People come here and they stay. It’s not just because there is an illusionary carrot, although that is part of it. You could probably find actors or musicians who are not much younger than myself who still haven’t caught their break. So that’s part of what drives Los Angeles. If you do happen to get lucky, as Stevie and I did, then there are reasons to stay. Unless you want to be Neil Young and live up in the mountains, there’s not a lot of motivation to move. Whatever there may be about the city that you could take to task, it’s a pretty great place.

I don’t think I would’ve wanted to raise my kids elsewhere, but it is a mixed bag. Growing up in Atherton, you could just get on your bike, go to school, and come home. You had a level of autonomy that doesn’t exist for kids today. Some of that has to do with L.A. and some of it has to do with the times. I grew up in one place. Stevie, on the other hand — her dad was a businessman who uprooted his family regularly, so she learned how to make a splash everywhere they went. It took its toll on her in other ways, and that’s not something I want for my kids. We’re dug in here, and we’re happy.

What makes it odd is that he just jumps into this from discussing he and Stevie's beginnings w/FleetwoodMac.
Yeah, I totally would've thought he was talking about Stevie as his wife, and their kids! lol

I was being objective when I read the article. It was written May 23, 2013 which is today. I keep thinking about what Mick Fleetwood said in another interview before the tour started that "the flame was about to be re-ignited again." Don't know with whom he was talking about. Anyone's guess. He is separated and could be him. Or with his long absences in between solo tours and FleetwoodMac tours and forgetting to mention the wife from time to time, could be Lindsey. Or maybe just selling tickets. Who knows. These people sure know how to keep the curiosity peaked. For me anyway. I love them.

yeah the article is from LA times, written by Lindsey. the whole article is posted here http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...38#post1093838 , my understanding is that it's a part of the series of why people like living in LA or something like that.

I noticed after posting part of it from Stevie Nicks Info, it had alread been posted in entirety on another thread. The older I get, the slower I become. I wish I had FleetwoodMac's energy. I don't know how they go on every other night to perform with what seems like "tireless energy." I guess it is doing what you love. Thank you for your response.

"We’ll both probably end up living back here at some point because we just miss it so much."

Right after you rent that castle in Wales, huh, Steves?

Money is a great motivator. I tell that to myself when I am too tired to wake up in the morning.

When you read the whole article and not just the excerpt posted in this thread, it becomes evident that he's talking about two different people.

... but I think it would take more than a bulldozer to clear away his baggage from Stevie! lol

Because being in the place they probably will live in again one day (oh, Stevie... ) obviously agreed with them.

'Just ask me and I'll be there...'

With thanks and love to the various lucky folks who actually were in the right hemisphere and were able to grab these moments and were gracious enough to post them on twitter, tumblr and youtube... xoxo

He's grinning at Mick who has his arms wide open to him for their hug.

I can't decide if he's trying to pretend to tug her with him, or trying to pretend she won't let him go

there really are two long-lived couples on that stage... Stevie and Lindsey, of course, but also John and Mick. They've been together just as long as S&L and have just as complicated a history. (No sex, presumably, but certainly love). They've been through a LOT together, and they like each other and get along better on some days than others. We just never hear from John anymore, so it isn't as titillating.

And frankly, I find the LB/Mick relationship fascinating and complex....there's a book just in that dynamic alone.

yes! they seem to really have each other's back these days, but also a lot of teasing in general. both really interesting guys, and i love to see the subtle mutual warmth so evident in all their interactions i've seen recently.

Yes, for the SYW tour, Lindsey said that John and Mick still had some things to work out and you wouldn't think that would be true after all these years. That's the same line he's using for himself and Stevie today.
