Good catch. I absolutely meant Gypsy.

I'd also be upset if Tango in the Night wasn't represented. But the truth is Christine's songs carried that album: Little Lies, Everywhere, Isn't It Midnight. Without her presence, many of the songs on that album are sadly ruled out (unless the band was game for working on a new arrangement to one of those songs). I don't know if Lindsey would ever consider a full-band version of Big Love, since the acoustic version is a great opportunity for him to show off his guitar playing. And as I've said on here before, I don't think Stevie will go with Seven Wonders, not only due to the vocal demand but also because she didn't write it and it wouldn't be the first song to come to mind.

Sure would be cool to see Lindsey give "Tango in the Night" a go.

I love Oh Well,Black Magic Woman,Albatross ect. If it was not for Oh Well Jimmy Page of Led Zepplin wouldn't not have written Black Dog.
It really would be great for them to do Hypnotized. I doubt it will happen at this point...

Yes, or Caroline. Sadly, probably the non-Ledgies would use the opportunity to buy a drink :s

I heard that the guitar solo on the song TITN came out of the live version of ISA, so I wonder if he'd have to drop ISA?

All a pipe dream of course!

I'm curious: has Lindsey ever played those Tango in the Night songs (Tango in the Night, Family Man, Caroline) in his solo tours?

Maybe when he does the request tour we'll finally be able to hear them. I wonder if he could pull off Isn't It Midnight? I love that song.

exactly.

also, Caroline? people?? seriously??

someone here was saying SN must do all past hits. she didn't do Sara or Gypsy at some of the recent tours / legs, so there's absolutely no need to do these now as it wasn't then. i was watching the audience too on her songs, and the 2 songs of hers that are absolute must and get HUGE audience response immediately when they start are Gold Dust Woman and Landslide. that's it.

sometimes Dreams once people figure out it's "thunder only happens" song. Rhiannon and Gypsy opening riffs are very recognizable but didn't see casual people going completely nuts like they did on GDW, Landslide and Never Going Back Again (of all songs).

of Lindsey's songs, other than immediately recognizing SHN (which you can argue he needs to do, but he doesn't every time), GYOW, and NGBA, people go nuts once he plays Big Love and So Afraid. so those 2 definitely cannot be replaced - other than audience reaction those are mentioned in almost every single review and tweeted like crazy during every single show. these songs are showcases that "they still got it" that they are not nostalgia act. plus Not That Funny and Sad Angel of course.

Seven Wonders and Blue Letter are cutesy pop songs, but nothing more. people would go to bathroom breaks during those and general audiences don't know them. they don't add any edge or meaning or relevance to them as a band or their show. so i really don't understand why people keep calling for them.

not that i know of. and i hope he never does play Caroline or Family Man.

i don't care at all about Isn't It Midnight, but he can play it at your request tour stop.

Tango would be interesting.

i'm pretty sure Lindsey could pull of anything, he's been reworking different songs different ways in the last few tours.

surprisingly, he seems to just go through the motions for SOTM, GDW, and some of the other SN songs... maybe because he's got so many criticisms the last tour how he's "showing off" so he decided to let her shine instead.

I always wondered how people can go to the restroom so much. It's almost like they go just to make a point. "You better keep my interest or I'm leaving my seat the first chance I get" I went to the rest room one time during a concert, but that's because I forgot to go prior. And one other time I also forgot to go, but held it in (even though it was getting pretty urgent) until the show ended. Other than that I've never left to go to the restroom or concessions (with the price of concessions that's a one time thing, if I go at all, and it's before the show starts)

re which song(s) can be replaced discussion, maybe something to consider are results of this poll right here on TL (it didn't have all songs as a choice of course, but of the ones offered):

Poll Results: Pick 3 songs as your favorite performances on this tour...so far.

Sad Angel 34
Sisters of the Moon 27
I'm So Afraid 16
Without You 13

Gold Dust Woman 9
The Chain 8
Silver Springs 8
Say Goodbye 8
Go Your Own Way 7

Other...reply back your choice(s) 15

interestingly, of the setlist staples, the only song that successfully competed with the new or newly introduced songs (and got more votes than "new" Without You"!) is I'm So Afraid.

I can only speak as a UK fan, but since TITN was such a huge hit here, Seven Wonders seems like a glaring omission when they play here. I've been to concerts where shouts have been hurled to that effect! This is particularly true with Christine gone and so the late 80s barely gets a look-in.

true, i don't know how it is in the UK.

i do know Big Love acoustic seems to be a huge hit in France, judging by UL boots. but you can argue that current BL version is 90s song, not 80s, and became big during The Dance.

but would Caroline, Tango or SW really satisfy (or just even more disappoint?) fans of Everywhere and Little Lies which were really the 2 huge hits that you still hear?

Seven Wonders would be a nice nod to the success of that album here. We deserve some acknowledgement other than Oh Well. After all, we kept them afloat at difficult times -- BTM was a #1 album here, don't forget

I'm not calling for Family Man or Caroline. I was just asking if there were any performances of other songs from Tango in the Night besides Big Love.

I love Lindsey's guitar-work on Isn't It Midnight (and Seven Wonders for that matter), that was why I mentioned it. Come to think of it, that's a Christine single that I think Buckingham-Nicks could do a decent rendition of.

I'd love to see an acoustic rendition of Gypsy. I saw a lot of people getting into that song at Madison Square Garden. It's been pretty consistently in the Mac setlists since the Dance, except for the second leg from 2004, right? (where Sara took its place) Stevie doesn't do it in her solo tours, so I do think there is a sense she has to do Gypsy.

I do wish Lindsey's guitar was more prominent on Sisters and Sara. I've said Sisters needs a more prominent, intense guitar sound, and that Sara needs the guitarwork Lindsey used to include, especially at the beginning (you probably know what I'm talking about, heard on older live recordings).

I'm not calling for Big Love or So Afraid changes--no way, those two are the guitar showpieces. I wish more people remember how much they loved those moments in the show and attended Lindsey's solo tours.

Remember, this poll is directed at Ledgies, many of whom have seen every tour in recent years. I bet if you asked random people coming out of the show, they'd cite more of the standards (likely the Stevie songs).

I remember someone on here wrote about Albatross is still repeatedly played in the UK. It'd be nice if that one made it in. Maybe Christine will give you Everywhere or Little Lies when she plays in London?

yes, and ledgies are really the ones calling for exclusion of ISA, b/c they keep saying they've heard it too many times. just look around various set wishlist threads.

tweets and reviews are general audience. 2 songs you get consistent barrage of loving and admiring tweets at practically every show are Landslide and I'm So Afraid.
