@edit "And I'll say it again: I really think her vocal coach has done more harm than good."
Explain?

Entire song from front row, shot by Michelle/Tucky (omg, I can't even remember her Ledge name...)
http://youtu.be/j3ZYIGeRl7A Much better than I was expecting, but her extremely low note on "mooooooon" was disappointing. I didn't love the ending either - she tried to give us what we want, but it just wasn't successful, IMO. I'm a realist. I was well aware it wouldn't come anywhere close to Tusk & Mirage tour versions. AND I really do like the "the people, they loooooove her..." verse. I do hope they keep it in the set, since it is a more obscure tune & it really is a rocker. Time will tell. Last edited by skcin; 04-05-2013 at 01:19 PM.. |

I think it sounds messy. Her vocals are all over, doesn't blend with the music, especially at the end. I didn't expect a kickass Mirage tour version, but they could have at least added *some* power to it.
Meh. |

I love the ending's passion from Stevie. I just know that has the potential to become incredible. The vocal is as someone said all over the place. i dont know what she's trying to do.

From the Youtube video, I didn't think it sounded all that great.
But you can never judge from a fan Youtube video. I did love when Lindsey would sing the last part in the old days. I think unless they can work some energy into it, maybe it should go. Along with Stand Back. |

I saw her do SOTM on both the Tusk tour and Mirage including the taped performance at the Forum .This just confirms what I have been saying that she should have left this one alone.

And, of course, this is just my silly opinion. I'm not a vocal coach; I just go by what I hear...... |

Stevie Nicks is almost 65 years of age. This is why many other female rockers have retired because of these "fan" comments. I saw the MAC in '82 when she last performed Sisters and most of the reviews had issues with her performance of the song. Enjoy what we are getting. I would have never thought in 1987 I would see Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham on the same stage.

Hard to judge on YouTube, hopefully it sounded better if you were there.
Credit to Stevie for bringing it back though, hopefully it won't be dropped for those who do really want to hear it again. |

I actually loved it. Love the tone and (understanding it's limitations) love her energy. Please keep it in the set!
