Peter, I can't see or hear things. I can only read them. I hate the internet. I only want text. Life is not fair.

thanks for posting! I love her analogy of the dinners at her house to the salons of Paris in the 20s with Coco Chanel and Man Ray and famous ballet stars discussing world politics... I love Stevie, but somehow I don't think the brain power at her dinner table was equivalent....

I was there last night, from what I remember, she said it is about a relationship she had with someone (who worked with the Beatles?)- the relationship ended because he was married. I don't have the best memory- so if someone who has listened to her answer wants to correct me- please do so!

The guys name was Derek Taylor. He was the road manager for the Beatles and yeah, she said he really affected her but that their relationship didn't last long because he was married.

If you Google him, everything says he was the PR person for the Beatles, not their road manager which Stevie says in the audio.

You can see pics of him on Google; here's a link to a video (film) interview with him when the Beatles broke up.

She's such a character. I just hope everyone knew about the affairs at the time, because if they didn't even if they're divorced from the people they were married to then, hurt feelings can still arise. Ex-wives and grown children with kids of their own won't like learning that Stevie had an affair with daddy in the seventies, if they didn't know it already.

Yeah, I was kind of shocked that she was so to-the-point about the whole thing. When the question got asked I was expecting the typical vague response like, "I was in a relationship and it was doomed and it fell apart and I was sad" lol. But she went full out.

Hey, if this keeps up we will get the full Rupert Hines story any day now. A fan will ask her, "Yo, what's up with the whole 'we could never be together for reasons having nothing to do with love,' scenario?" And she will just tell everything, drop it like it's hot.

Here's my video of the first Q&A. It's a bit shaky at times, but overall good. I was in the 4th row. I gave the camera to my girlfriend to hold when I stood to ask my question, which is why it gets a little shaky there. My question is at 11:38. I wish I could somehow isolate that dragon noise she makes and use it as my ringtone. Stevie is definitely a funny chick. I love that about her.

I am currently uploading the second Q&A and will post that as soon as I can. I'm going to the local screeening tonight in San Diego after work so it'll likely be late tonight or tomorrow am.

the interweb says that Derek Taylor died in 1997 at age 65. Maybe that factored into her decision to speak about it?

I suspect many of these men (given the biz they are in, given the times) didn't just have affairs with Stevie....

Yeah I could see why she's ok to talk about it since he's long gone. But he does have a widow (whom he was married to during the Stevie affair and until his death), and 6 children with her. So I don't know if it was that cool to tell the world she banged their dad. But hey, it's Stevie.

By the way, in my all-time favorite live boot of Landslide, the dedication was "Beautiful Child, where ever you are... This is for you." Which means she had dedicated it to Derek Taylor, and the affair was going on in September of 1977.
Which confused me. Because I thought that Stevie and Mick started their affair in November of 1977 (during the Aus/NZ part of Rumours tour). But when she started the affair with Mick, she was currently dating Paul Fishkin. So either she only dated Paul for only 2 months at most before the Mick affair. Or she was with Paul when she was doing Derek, too.
This woman belongs in a soap opera.
