I think the reason why you may see a lot of negativity around here stems from the potential that the band seemingly refuses to tap into. Even though the picture clearly doesn't represent a finished product, I can easily see why some folks aren't thrilled with that stage setup. There's just no personality or specialness to it... it's just a cut & paste corporate setup with no personality. Fleetwood Mac shows should have a certain mystical atmosphere; a sense of place if you will.

I also think many of us are so enamored with the heyday of Fleetwood Mac that it's hard for us to swallow things like the loss of Christine, or the addition of a dozen backup singers/musicians onstage with the band, or the fact they don't record new material with any sort of regularity anymore. Like Mick Fleetwood himself said, Fleetwood Mac is the poorest run rock franchise in the business. It's pretty damned frustrating to be a Mac fan. The only thing they seem interested in these days is taking our money so they can crank out the same old hits... it's pretty easy for me to see why folks around here grump & moan so much.

I hope the closer is none of those, but a song that will stunningly surprise us, as if to say "Wow, I never expected that one!." I don't understand the "this song has to open the show, this song has to close the show" mentality. Predictability is so boring. Why would anyone want the same old same old, wishing for overdone familiarity in lieu of a varied and challenging selection of songs.

At this late stage in their careers, I would like them to feel free to really shake it the set list. They have absolutely nothing to lose, and everything to gain by venturing into less explored pastures. As artists, you think they would be inclined to do so, but alas, they continue to pander to the masses, oblivious to their hard core fans. They either don't have a clue or they are just stuck in the mud.

I think the stage looks fine. And we know it's not finished yet anyway.

As for the song closer - I am putting my dollar on Sisters of the Moon. It used to be towards the end during the Mirage tour (even though Songbird was officially the closer). So I hope it will end up being that, it'd be a nice rocking closer to the show.

They won't listen to me! But, I've said for years that they need to close with "Crystal" as a true duet.

You made a lot of great points a lot I agree with as a long time fan of Mac/Stevie since the late 80's (like 1988) I'd have to agree with you on the many points you've made. They have so many wonderful 'things' they could've done and released all these yrs for us as fans but haven't except churn out the same old same old stuff. I'll never understand not officially releasing the 'un' released material. Because yes if they have released some of it there is still so much more NOT released. (That we all know of that is). Same for DVD's etc. Not just Mac but Stevie solo and I guess you could add Lindsey solo as well. And unreleased outtake photos too. Really there 'web site' should be the best but other fan web sites have always been better. Same for Stevie's web site--boring really other fan sites through the yrs have been tons better which shouldn't be but is. I've stopped going to concerts for both Mac & Stevie because of the same old set lists as well as the ticket prices its just not worth it all. I've seen them before so I have those memories. Life does go on. The one's that suffer are us as fans. I guess I'll say they are trying but they could try much harder to please us as fans. Maybe it'll never be enough. Really they are only hurting themselves in the long run. IMO anyway, again great points made in your above post!!

Also, I find that projecting photo albums is distracting in shows; it takes your attention away from the "live" band. Abstract graphic imagery is much more effective, as it creates varied atmospheres that compliments the music.

Totally agree with this post. Would love to hear and see the unexpected. THis band has such a rich and varied trove of music that they could sprinkle among the old musty must-dos - it could feel really new, while still being satisfying to mainstream fans. I don't know why they settle for the expected!!!!!!

I guess I don't agree totally - about the 'photo album' thing - in general, I agree, but for this particular band, it has such a long legacy that spans across the most significant period of popular/rock music - 60's thru today. It's amazing that they're still around, and I would really enjoy a visual historical romp thru those times - just showing to the audience, as well as acknowledging to themselves - their place in rock history...As long as it's not overdone, I think a touch of that could be cool-

Since the tour starts in 10 days, and a name hasn't been released, I'm guessing there won't be one. They haven't even chosen their official poster yet. Poorest run franchise in rock indeed.

I think the name is just Fleetwood Mac Live 2013.

I agree with you that there is much more they could release to please us fans. However, die-hard fans like us are not the ones they are really looking to buy Rumours for the 5th time. This Rumours Re-release will sell much better than some live CD or DVD that we would drool over. They are doing this for $$$$ only. There is no other reason. They aren't losing out because the majority of those buying concert tickets are casual fans that will buy this Rumours re-release. Also, most of the "die-hard" fans like us here will still continue to buy our tickets too, as much as we all bitch and moan.

Am I the only one who has noticed that Stevie's mic appears to be IN THE MIDDLE of the stage, instead of to the left? What has she moved over to make room for, I wonder?

I don't think it's in the middle, I think it's just hard to see where the left edge of the stage is because of the dark color and not enough contrast at the corner.
