I agree with the bad lighting but we are seeing Stevie as the 64 year old woman that she is. A living beauty!

Exactly my point. It's great to see all this air brushed, filtered shots but I think this interview is going to be real. Stevie Nicks as she is. I'm looking forward to this. Her IYD doc will give us all the touched up photos and interviews. Not that that's a bad think but that not what this is going to be.

Contact Music
http://www.contactmusic.com/news/ste...od-mac_3568868 Stevie Nicks - Stevie Nicks Wonders What Life Would Be Like If She Turned Down Fleetwood Mac 22 March 2013 Rocker Stevie Nicks fears Fleetwood Mac drove a wedge between her and ex-lover and bandmate Lindsey Buckingham, and they could have enjoyed a lasting romance with kids had she not convinced her boyfriend to join the group. In a candid new interview with Oprah Winfrey for her Master Class Tv series, the Landslide singer admits she still considers what might have been if she had decided not to become a member of the supergroup. She tells Winfrey that Buckingham has always blamed the tensions within Fleetwood Mac for the couple's bitter break-up, and she's beginning to think he may be right. Nicks says, "Had we not joined Fleetwood Mac we would've continued on with our music but we probably would've gotten married, and we probably would've had a child. It would've been a different life and it's very possible that we might have gotten married, had a family, and still done our music. You know, we were still young enough then that destiny could've taken us another way but destiny did not take us that way. Destiny took us straight into Fleetwood Mac. "Mick (Fleetwood) called on New Year's Eve and I went down to Tower Records and I bought, like, all their records... and I went home, and I listened to all of them, twice. And, at the end of listening to these records, I said, 'I think that we can add to this band... I think they have a real kind of witchy side that would appeal to us. And I think we can add to this band. And we can make some money, Lindsey, so we should join this band.' And he's like, 'I don't know... I'm really loving this record that we're making.' "Of course, I'm, at this point, after I've already thought about maybe going back to school, I'm like, 'Listen, I'm tired of being a waitress. I don't want to do that anymore. So we need to join the band.' And he said Ok and that was it, and we went into rehearsal a couple days later." But she still has no regrets about joining the group, even though it's often tough to work in the studio and onstage with a former soulmate: "It's really hard, you know, when you break up with somebody or somebody breaks up with you and you're in this band, and you have to see them the next day in the hotel... And guess who you get to go onstage with tomorrow night?" |

["For the Loss of Me". That should be a song title]
March 22, 2013 9:17 NME http://www.nme.com/news/fleetwood-mac/69338 Singer says Buckingham always blamed the band for their break-up Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks has opened up about her break-up with fellow bandmate Lindsey Buckingham. Speaking in an interview on Oprah's Master Class on Saturday (March 24) the singer opens up about breaking up with Buckingham, which famously happened when the group began work on their seminal 1977 album 'Rumours'. The album was recorded at California's now-defunct Sound City studios – and features in Dave Grohl's new documentary Sound City. "The band was way more important than each separate person's problems," Nicks says in a video teaser for the interview, which you can watch below. "And we knew that. So we never, ever, with everything that happened to us, ever, let love affairs break Fleetwood Mac up. But Lindsey always blamed Fleetwood Mac for the loss of me. Had we not joined Fleetwood Mac we would've continued on with our music but we probably would've gotten married, and we probably would've had a child." Fleetwood Mac are set to come to the UK as part of a forthcoming world tour. Speaking about UK tour dates, drummer Mick Fleetwood recently said: "We're doing a big world tour that starts in April. We're coming here [the UK] in September, October and maybe a bit longer. We're doing a lot of work here so we are coming." The drummer also revealed that there is a new Fleetwood Mac album in the pipeline and that new songs will be released online in the coming months. The band were rumored to be making their debut appearance on the Pyramid Stage at this years' Glastonbury Festival, however a string of US dates announced over the same weekend makes this seem unlikely. [When I was a kid, I used to carry a bus ticket in my shoe at all times, just in case of an emergency]
Stevie Nicks: 'I carried a gram of cocaine in my boot at all times' Published Friday, Mar 22 2013 Digital Spy http://www.digitalspy.com/celebrity/...all-times.html During an interview for Oprah Winfrey's Master Class series, the Fleetwood Mac star said that it took a visit to a plastic surgeon for her to realize the damage she was doing to her body. I carried a gram of cocaine in my boot at all times," she confessed. "I went to a plastic surgeon and he looked in my nose and said, 'You have a really big hole in your nose; it's very dangerous... Your next hit of coke could be your last hit of anything'. According to Khon2, Nicks referred to cocaine as a "stupid drug" and said that anyone who currently takes it had better start saving up for treatment. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/0...n_2933495.html Stevie Nicks Opens Up On Cocaine Use And Her Affair With Mick Fleetwood In early 1975, when Stevie Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac, she was more into music than drugs. But by 1977, going into the making of Fleetwood Mac’s "Rumors" album, Nicks had gone from being aware of cocaine to buying and using it regularly. In a new episode of “Oprah’s Master Class,” airing on Sunday, March 24, at 10 p.m. ET on OWN, the singer opens up about her drug addiction, how it led to a reckless affair with bandmate Mick Fleetwood and what years of cocaine use did to her body. In this clip from the episode, Nicks looks back on her cocaine use, saying, “I can remember thinking to myself at that point, ‘Wow. Who knew four years ago that I would even be a part of anything that was this stupid?’” Part of that stupidity, Nicks says, was spending so much money on cocaine. “Two weeks’ worth of cocaine could have paid our rent for six months,” she observes. Perhaps even worse than spending money so wildly was how the dangerous drug changed Nicks and the people around her. “It turned people into nutcases,” she says in the clip. “Mick and I never would have had an affair had we not had a party and all been completely drunk, messed up and coked out. [We] ended up being the last two people at the party. So guess what? It’s not hard to figure out what happened -- and what happened wasn’t a good thing. It was doomed. It was a doomed thing, caused a lot of pain for everybody, led to nothing. I’m like, ‘Gee, could you have just laid off the brandy and the coke and the pot for two days?’” It was an unattractive side of Nicks’ that she now recognizes, even though she (and many others) thought she looked beautiful at the time. “You didn’t look beautiful,” Nicks says now to her younger self. “You looked high. And unattractive. So unattractive.” In the clip, Nicks reveals how a plastic surgeon’s harsh words to her after a visit in 1986 -- "Your last hit of coke could be your last hit of anything. This hole in your nose… could kill you” -- helped drive her to rehab. She also shares her advice for those who might be struggling with addiction today. Watch the full interview with Stevie Nicks on “Oprah’s Master Class” on Sunday, March 24, at 10 p.m. ET on OWN. |

I wonder if she knew that Carmen Miranda beat her to the punch by a few decades.Carmen was carrying cocaine in a special compartment in her platform shoes when she was a star in the 1940s.

My eyes roll every time she says(lately) that if her and L had not joined FM they might have married and had a kid. This is the same woman who for years upon years admitted she was ready to break up with L even before they got that call from Micheal Fleetwood.

This "headline" is so funny. like its actually revealing something. So you actually mean to tell me that Stevie Nicks has not only used cocaine, but she's even had an affair with Mick Fleetwood!
