There is no doubt in my mind that the minimalist stage design is directly dictated by Lindsey. According to Stevie he's the one responsible for her granny getups on the Say You Will tour... he told her to tone down her wardobe & twirling so they could focus on the music.

^^ I think that might be a tad retro. But I can totally see how they could bring that motif into the 21st century by having an animated LED curtain with the tree, perhaps losing and gaining leaves during the course of the show. One band that took production to the outer extreme is Coldplay. For their most recent tour behind Xylo Myloto, they handed out LED bracelets to everybody attending the show, and they would be activated/lit up in unison via a remote control. Apparently it cost them about $500,000 per show to do this! And this is on top of all the other things packed into their show- bouncing balloons, multiple stages, confetti cannons, lasers, dry ice, catwalks, etc. And their tickets were still cheaper than FM.

I'm all about the music and I don't care so much for all the bells and whistles, after all, we're not going to a Lady Gaga or Madonna concert here. HOWEVER, I AGREE SOMEWHAT with the above post.
I'm surprised that Fleetwood Mac have never tried to flash up their live show with vintage videos, clips and a montage of visuals FROM THE PAST.....For example, I went to see Cher about 10 years ago. In the middle of her set, she played a montage of videos from The Sonny & Cher Show, movies, interviews, old concert footage, etc.....It melded quite nicely into the new show....PLUS, the old video footage is very sentimental and cathartic. I know Fleetwood Mac are never going to have backup dancers and costumes like Cher (and I don't expect it), I wish they would include more visuals in their shows, especially with all the technology that's available now. The possibilities are endless......But, they just seem to do the same tour, time after time......I LOVE THE MAC and I"M all about the simplicity of just hearing the music.....but please spice it up a little......throw us a bone, what gives? I would like the 2013 TOUR to be JUST A LITTLE LESS PREDICTABLE !!!!

Lighting looks interesting - anyone know who the LD is? A great LD can make a blank stage look unbelievable...
The sound looks awesome.
And that big board stage right/audience left? Is that the working set list??? I'd be curious to see what has been crossed out.... How 'bout a picture of THAT!

And she actually dueted with Sonny on "It's The Little Things" using footage where he was singing his part of the song in their Good Times movie while she sang her part live, ala what Natalie Cole did with her father. FM could definitely do something like this using video of Christine. Unless they think it's kind of macabre since Christine isn't dead.

me too, but for me that means changes in the setlist, different songs on different days etc. for me, it's all about the music.

if i wanted to see a Vegas show i'd go to Vegas. that said, there are bands i've seen recently that had nice discrete stage video effects blending with showing the band performing on the big screen behind them, highlighting that we were watching a rock concert (perhaps with a certain message) and not a theatrical performance. i'm ok with that, but i'd be just as ok without it too.

unfortunately, from everything i read around here, seems that FM changing their setlists around would be just as shocking as if they would have all these videos, photos, and effects people seem to crave.

yup i'm happy about these... i've seen some bands live that not only didn't log their own video screens around but wouldn't pay for the existing video screen in the arena to be used... and the show tickets were pretty close to the FM prices. all they had was a bit of lighting and sound. but the sound was great!

Thanks for sharing the picture. I'm one of the few lost souls on the planet who does not visit Facebook with any frequency at all. Preferred method, even if I do miss out on a lot.

Anywho, perhaps there will be some stunning visuals in the form of a fabulous light show. The last few concerts I've been to have had fairly austere backdrops in favor of really wonderful light displays; glowing orbs and color-lighted strands blowing in the wind-fan. I found myself watching the light show, sometimes more often than the artist. Sort of a harkening back to the flowing acid backdrops of the late 60s, only 21st century version. I'm cool with that, even if I don't smoke dope anymore.

Lmao. Most of my favorite bands are still touring and making albums in some form or other(meaning in a different lineup than before). That commercial is hilarious.
