Default Sisters of the Moon confirmed

@ south by south west. Attended the documentary screening, was great, a little bummed that only one question was allowed. I was all set to ask her if she would ever release a collection of the piano demos and about remastered, expanded solo albums. Anyway, @ the interview in the convention center now, shes still talking as I type.. She was talking about getting ready for the tour and said "you're the first to hear this, but we're doing SISTERS OF THE MOON"...!!!
Also mentioned they're working on 24 songs in the set right now. Exciting news! Back to the interview. More to come later!

that's great news.

working on 24 is disappointing, that means they'll be down to 22 by the time tour starts. if they stay at 24 that's a bit better but still not 26.

SOTM! This is a coup. Fans have wanted this for years and the fact that FM knows this is how it came to be in the setlist. Very excited to hear it.

And be prepared for it to not sound fantastic at first. As the tour goes on, I'm sure it will become phenomenal.

Thanks so much for the report.

Not necessarily...24 could be their goal number, and they're currently working on 30ish to find the "right" 24 to bring to Columbus.

Agreed. I may have to break my word and go see this tour now.

Storms definitely got better as the Unleashed tour progressed & Stevie figured out how to best perform the song live. But when I saw the Mac during the Say You Will tour, the newly rocking version of Silvers Springs got progressively worse as Stevie's voice wore down from the extensive touring. So it really could go either way. It'll be interesting to see how Sisters has evolved since it's heyday. It'll be a different animal for sure, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing at all.

i like your optimistic view much better than my realistic/pessimistic one.

maybe they pleasantly surprise us and if they are working on 30 songs with a goal of 24 they can't decide which ones to weed out and so try out 26 in Columbus!?

Great news. On the other hand....It's about time. I'm not holding my breath, but I really hope they'll kill some of their darlings....for some "about time" gems...

Was right behind the last girl in line who got to ask a question. Teenager who saw me headed for the line and sped up and basically cut in front of me. Verry annoying. And such dumb questions. Oy. I was so ready to ask about remasters, and if she had ever put any thought into releasing a piano demo collection. For the next time I'm in a small room w Stevie Nicks, I guess.. Oh wait..

That's awesome. I wonder how the 2013 version will sound. Hopefully, it won't get dropped by the fourth show. It's funny. My first reaction to this news was, "It'd better not be like "Smile at You" was to Say You Will, limp."

Bugger, I mentioned on another thread that this is the one song I'd love to see them do live again and I haven't got a ticket for this tour

Still I'm glad others will get to see it. This was the highlight of the Mirage tour video for me, hope they film a show for a DVD release.

well, i don't remember about Smile at You since SYW version was so blah i mostly skipped it, but SOTM has some great guitar parts which i'm sure won't disappoint!!

Lets all remember we are talking a 65 year old Nicks not a 35 year old. It will be and should be taken based on her current range and energy. I think Lindsey's guitar will be amazing and will exceed our expectations. I Can't Wait.

yup!

(although expectations are high to begin with, if you ever saw Lindsey play guitar, and heard SOTM )
