I've known that EATING onions when you're ailing helps quite a bit...but, just leaving a chopped up onion in a bowl in the room is a recent revelation. (My 80+ year old mom, who is getting to be more of a hippie in her aging years that I was as a teenager, passed along an article about the chopped onion thing a couple of months ago) I've been sick for about the last 6 weeks and totally forgot about "the onion trick". Figures, now that I'm about 90% on the mend. Maybe I'll try it tonight and get rid of that 10% that is hanging on.
