Kate Earl Sounds Like

If you guys haven't heard Kate Earl yet, check her out. Her album "Stronger" sounds like something Lindsey would have produced some time between 1978 and 1982.

As I listen to the songs, I am really struck by the obvious FM influence. Some guitar breaks sound like they are straight out of the Tusk tracks, as are some song structures, including the track "One-Woman Army." The opening track is a nod to "Second-Hand News" with its Lindsey-esque countrified acoustic strum. The track "Raven" has a guitar track that could have come straight out of "Hold Me."

Give it a listen, folks. It's poppy but good... kind like Volvos are boxy but good.

Yeah, I can definitely hear the FM influence. Particularly in the guitar lines and the overall groove.
