No, Stevie wrote the lyrics. Dave just wrote the instrumental track.

Ok I must of misunderstand the earlier post then.

Ok Its probably the instrumental track which is drawing me away from enjoying the tune.

I want to hear her voice .Not the overloaded music.

This is the first time I've ever heard you say you did not like a Stevie song. Do you like a clunker like Jane better than this?

I have no problem with her.I don't like the noise that Dave brought in.I want to hear her voice .Not the noisy band...

Jane is ok.She could written a song about Bob Barker since he loves animals like Jane did.LOL....

It it was toned down a bit I probably more enjoy the tune.

I'm not a fan of loud rock music.

Stream the whole album on NPR now!

IMO You Can't Fix This and Dave's own track If I Were Me are the top tracks. Both haunting and deep melodies rather than more straight forward rockers.

I was just walking through a record store and "You Can't Fix This" started up. For a moment, I didn't recognise the intro and thought to myself how cool it sounded. Then Stevie's vocals chimed in and I realised what it was. It sounded fantastic blaring through the shop speakers - a truly amazing production job. I was able to then pick up the cd and dvd - can't wait to get home and devour these!

This breaks that trend. I really love it.
That's a really astute and accurate observation! I hope her future music will continue in this direction, shedding some of the generic/formulaic-style music leanings.

Hi Aussie W/Heart, yep it was JBHiFi and the cd/dvd had just arrived so I was lucky with my timing. Truly, once you've heard "You Can't Fix This" on your own stereo, you'll be hooked. Sounds amazing.

lol, I'm already hooked as from day one, yes i can not wait till i buy my copy. Good ol'l JB's i love their store even more than i already do FYI John opened his very first JB record shop in a Melb suburb, it was so tiny & jam packed with a rare variety of bootlegs & latest albums. I lived around the corner & would visit his shop daily, i bought my first copy of Rumours from him in 77.. He is probably a Billionaire now..

I was fond of "You Can't Fix This" from the fist audio snippet and became progressively more enamoured of it after the Letterman performance and subsequent full preview. I would have given it a solid 6/10 as I loved the instrumentation and Stevie's vocal, but didn't care for some of the lyrics. However, it snakes it's way into your subconscious and after listening to it through quality speakers, I am no longer fixated on those few lines that bothered me before. I'd now score it a healthy 8/10 without hesitation.
I just want her to keep writing and recording whilst she's enthused and on a creative roll, hence my annoyance with this impending concert tour. Just get it overwith and resume your more pressing duties Miss Stevie!!
