overrated? average?? boring??? downright disgusting????

I love all those songs except maybe "Oh diane"... "Sara" is great especially the high quality cleaning lady version I just found on Kazza... Mirage Live version of "Not That Funny" is awesome... The Dance version of "Gypsy" is great... and also the Mirage Live "Eyes of the World" is great... you're crazy...

"Save Me a Place"-- L.B.

"Sister's of the Moon"-- S.N.

"Brown Eyes"-- C.M.

Funny that all these songs are on Tusk, the most underrated album ever!

I don't know, there's just something about "Say That You Love Me" that just sounds really flat to me. That and "Warm Ways" put me right to sleep. I just don't think it's one of her better songs. Same with "Sara." It's one of the only songs on Tusk I skip when I play it the whole way through (along with Beautiful Child and Honey Hi).

You know, I've always listened to "Gypsy" amongst other colossal hit songs on the boxed set. I just bought Mirage the other day and "Gypsy" is much bigger amongst these tracks. I think this is the least impressive of the Mac CD's I've bought so far so "Gypsy" definately stands out more here.

If the live versions of "Not That Funny" aren't enough of a case of musicians not sucking down mass quantities of drugs before they go onstage then I don't know what is. And if Lindsey is sober singing (yelling?) this garbage then maybe he should do more drugs before he goes onstage. I actually like the song but I always find myself wishing he'd just shut up so I could enjoy it!

Well...first off, the word "THAT" is not in the title...which rhymes with "FLAT" and there you have it. So take "THAT" out of the title and maybe the song won't sound so "FLAT".

I totally agree - and then there is La Nicks with the Mirage SOTM - which I actually like - but her entire performace appears to me to be a total, albeit great, drug trip.

Nonsense. I can make out her distinct words near the end: "AhggdsgdhgjjcvIneverusedrugs!vfdkjlkdlldlhbdbgckarahhh!"

Also, I feel compelled to mention that La Nicks looks like she is having difficulty holding her head up during the "So, we make our choices" part, but then the coke apparently kicks in and she goes into her coked up frenzy in the dramatic ending - punctuated with the listing, spinning, panty revealing shot, which as you all must know by now is my all time fav.!!

That "Sister Of The Moon" performance has to be my second favorite performance off all time... right behind "Silver Springs" nothing can top that... but "Sister of the Moon" make me laugh... I love it, it's great even if she is drugged up... well I really couldn't tell if she was drugged up or not...

Totally agree with Oh Dianne. It's kinda catchy, but not a great song to me.

The only thing Sara is guilty of, in my eyes, is maybe being a little long and over-indulgent.

Eyes Of the World on the album isn't great, but it is much better live.

Not That Funny...are you referring to the album version, live version or both? I think the album version is too understated, the live version is the perfect context for this angry song. The live version may go long, but the feel is perfect.

Say You Love Me isn't my favorite song, but it's still nice to hear. And I don't know what you may think is wrong with Gypsy. How you can like Angel but not Gypsy is a little confusing, because they sound very similar in a lot of ways, in my opinion.

I'd say Bob Welch's "Future Games" is one of the most grossly underrated songs in all of rock music.

Christine's "Sugar Daddy" is killer, a great tune that, for some reason, doesn't get its due.

Here's a small list of underrated Mac tunes.

"Winds of Change" (from Time)
"Prove Your Love" (from Heroes)
"Dust" (from Bare Trees)
"Remember Me" (from Penguin)
"Honey Hi," "Brown Eyes," and "Angel" from Tusk

All songs from Kiln House

A lot of people have mentioned Lindsey's songs from Tusk, but I think his material on that album has received its due as eccentric genius...
