Interesting. I only very recently sat down and listened to the whole SYW album all the way through (back to front ) and thought it was a lot better than I feared but not as good as I'd hoped. I never thought it sounded like an album that would sell millions in the 21st century, but it couldn't have come from people who weren't talented. I felt consistently that it was trying too hard to appeal to a newer and younger public. Ironically (or not) I think that after the decade of retro (2000-2010) their classic sound might help them more.
