Anyone else think Christine Quit FM for other reasons? - Page 3

yeah, but he's not being very sensitive about his phrasing. I mean, I was a little shocked when he made those comments about being happy now that he has "33% more room to maneuver" and how the band is much more "aggressive" and "masculine" now that Christine is gone. Well, sure, they are and yes he has "more room to maneuver" but the way he's coming across in the press is like he's just been waiting for the day that one of these broads would leave so that he could "manuever" all over the place. I'm sure he doesn't really think this, but that's the way he sounds . He sounds like he's been scorned by the way he becomes all defensive when Christine's name is menitoned...leads me to believe something went on between the two of them behind the scenes.

In some interview, Lindsey mentioned something about "as much as we miss chris personally, nothing is missing musically" ..

A little slap in the face to her music, but.. he did say that they missed her as a person, so I guess it was the tired of touring issue.

I think Christine ~ at 60 ~ would rob the bank of its vitality on their SYW tour.

Not everyone has the energy of 60 year-old Mick Fleetwood!

Chris wasn't exactly full of vigor duirng The Dance. And did anyone else notice that Buckingham was playing most of her instrumental parts on his guitar (e.g.. on "Everywhere.") on this MTV special?

Plus, even though Christine was the biggest Fleetwood Mac hitmaker, she didn't seem to be getting overwhelming audience applause to her classics and new numbers during "The Dance," the way Nicks and Buckingham did.

Is he really 60? I thought the papers made a mistake on his birthday...and he's really only 56 or so...

M. Fleetwood is 60. He's been "fabricating" about his age.

Gives him more time in his eyes, I guess. If his energy level can pass for that, then what-the-hey?

This way Buckingham can say "we're out to prove that a band in their 50s can play the best music of their career."
