Treason is very different, but the others you mentioned i agree are descendants from BL/GI style although heavily embellished with what i called baroque-ish guitar, that waterfall-like sound that he's been playing with a lot. but they are still moving forward even if you may not like that he's pushing that style. Rock Away Blind is one of his favorite songs for me (although granted i have about 20-30 favorites ), while i can't stand the grating chorus of Time Precious Time and Bel Air Rain drives me nuts. literally, it's too busy but not in a good way like To Try For The Sun. imo, of course, i know many people who feel the opposite.

but you also have typically LB-ish Gift Of Screws on GOS; there's Tusk and there's GOS, those 2 songs are in their own separate category . and Underground at completely opposite end of spectrum. and you have In Our Own Time, That's The Way Love Goes and Illumination on SWS. when i first heard those - and Stars - live at Saban, and everybody loved Stars but i loved those other 3, i felt like a Lindsey-traitor because i thought those are not completely his style, unlike Stars. TTWLG can be a perfect little punkish song. although Lindsey says that it's in style of Come (for which he didn't write the music, Neale did), but i think although therare similarities those are 2 very different songs. TTWLG is much more accessible, while Come relies heavily on that explosive guitar solo. In IOOT you have both fast and slow, several melodies going, and that completely off guitar riffing.

and then you have Treason or End of Time... middle of the roadish not very interesting songs if you ask me. although words do save End Of Time somewhat, and i guess it's FM-y, and supposedly did well on satellite radio, but really not my cup of tea when i have all those other spectacular choices.

I'd rather not have him duet on something she's already sung on with someone else. I don't want him on Everybody Loves You, Stop Dragging My Heart Around or Leather and Lace either. Although, of the three, I'd probably pick the latter. He'd have to do better than Rod Stewart!

If he did Cheaper Than Free with her, I think I'd start a White House petition to have him deported.

you do know that regardless of his misleading last name Buckingham is not a part of English contingent of FM

Leather and Lace with Rod is actually the only version of that song i like, can't stand Henley's voice. Rod's version is somehow gentle and warm.

Default For What It's Worth

The most FM-type songs from IYD are in this particular order:

Annabel Lee-Most pop FM sound Stevie has created in years, the fact that she didn't write the lyrics, excludes this from a top contender. Her Music, however pushes this gem to the top of her game along with Gypsy and Dreams. Interestingly enough, 30 years after Gypsy, Nicks didn't need the musical genius of LB to create this Masterpiece.

You May Be The One-Set in beautiful RnB roots and a wonderful chorus of a love lost, Nicks delivers a powerful ballad that would make any love scorned Stand Tall and lament "better to have lost in love....". Her vocals are delicate, yet foretelling and rhythmically on par here, with the deep bass and lead guitar that set the mood of "This is Not a love song".

In Your Dreams-The perfect duet and harmony for BN. Stevie is at the top of her game delivering lyrics such as "I'm at the other end of your night".

One can imagine this as a BN duet with the chorus and LB singing: "I'm at the other end of your night"; SN: "I'm always in and out of your light"; and SN "I'm right down the middle of all your dreams...Ohhh, In your dreams".

Later, one can imagine LB pleading with Nicks "Are all those tears necessary? In all that pain that you carry?" Nicks retorts "You just send those tears away" In unison they sing "Come in out of the darkness...It's a beautiful Day".

The song concludes with the two singing to each other "I'm wishing your wish, I'm wishing my wish......"

So there you have it IYD from IYD is the Best song BN/FM can cover on the next(this) tour.

This band doesn't understand math. If they must stick to the 23 24 songs limit then everything they say they're going to do just doesn't seem possible. 3 brand new songs. one each from IYD and SWS. mick wants something new and special tomhighlightnstevie and Lindsey. They're promising a couple rarities not including the new songs plus taking internet suggestions and i think buckingham nicks was thrown around a few times too. And this all would be very possible if they didn't have such a long list of MUST DOS taking up space.

One song I feel has no place in this crowded equation is stand back. I will be very poised of I see this song in the set opening night. I realize it's her high energy show closer but now we know that Gold Dust Woman can fulfill that need if played properly. Have the main set end GDW and GYOW and cut stand back. Or to answer the question in this thread, Ghosts Are Gone would work perfectly although I think there's less then a 1 Percent chance of that happening. So Soldiers Angel obviously makes the most sense. And I for one would be thrilled if that actually happened. It was my favorite song on the IYD tour and to have Lindsey play and sing on it would make it even better.

I know it's a rather obvious choice, but my vote is for "Soldier's Angel."
Well IMHO everything Stevie does is terrible, while everything Lindsey does is terrific!

Hey hey

Soldier's Angel since Lindsey's there.

On other IYD tunes. What ever Stevie picks .If that happens.

It would be nice to hear IYD tunes.

It would be another plug for IYD sales.

Great points you make there. Frankly, I'd like Fleetwood Mac to come up with their list of "must do" songs, then let each singer pick ONE and toss the rest of that list in the trash. This would allow them to perform their "must do" songs as an encore, like most bands do, and fill their set with stuff that actual fans want to hear, instead of just playing for the crowd who only owns the 1988 Greatest Hits album.

few hrs ago i would completely agree with you. but then i did the math in the other thread and (i mist be missing some obvious song??), there are really only 11 must dos (without Christine). so that opens 13 spaces!

here's my 11 that i think they'll never ever drop -

Don't Stop
Landslide
GYOW
The Chain
Big Love
So Afraid
Dreams
Rhiannon
Second Hand News
Gold Dust Woman
Tusk
