Don't get me wrong - I like Lady A a s aradio artist, but have no hopes for any groundbreaking or even remotely interesting performances with Stevie.

Default CMT Crossroads: Stevie + Lady Antebellum

From Twitter, all I can gather is that Edge of Seventeen and Landslide were done. Stevie was very gracious and Steven Tyler was in the audience. It was a great night, but people seem to be a little bit secretive about the taping. I guess it will be airing soon.

I guess this collaboration was Stevie's idea:

Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks are hitting the stage this week to tape an episode of CMT Crossroads together in Los Angeles. While we don’t know the full story behind their collaboration yet, Lady A’s Hillary Scott says it was the legendary singer’s idea. “The way that this all came about is going to be in the show, because it’s a really cool story that we’re gonna sit down and let her tell how it all came about, because it wasn’t her management calling our management or CMT trying to call each of us, because they had the idea,” says Hillary. “This was her idea, and the way it came about was very organic and beautiful and I’m gonna let her tell that story, so you’ll have to watch it to hear the story.”

stevie sang on:

just a kiss
need you now
golden
cold as stone

lady antebellum sang on:

rhiannon
edge of seventeen
gold dust woman
stop draggin' my heart around
landslide

let me tell you--it was an unbelievable show. stevie sounded incredible throughout, and LA sounded equally fantastic. charles kelley absolutely adores stevie.

it was all the more special because stevie sang essentially the lead parts on all of the lady antebellum songs. it was MAGICAL.

i can't wait for the show to air--hopefully you guys will get to see what we saw.

I'm so excited to see this. I loved the one Lindsey did with Little Big Town.

I just looked up those 4 songs on YouTube and I think they all really suck. But I can already picture Stevie's voice fitting in perfectly on certain parts.

Now you have sapped my energy and I have no incentive to try to listen to them myself. I guess I'll just wait for the show.

Sorry Michelle but there's no other way for me to put it. And I'm not some close minded musical person. A co worker played me some Jason Alden a few weeks ago and I really liked it. I call it like I hear it and thesev4 songs are terrible. But don't let that stop you from listening yourself.

Hillary of Lady Antebellum says she wants to name Stevie the Godmother of her child now and that she's going to talk to her husband about it.

Stevie just racks up those Godchildren doesn't she.
