Somehow I have a feeling it will be a lot of the same stories we've heard throughout the years. But hopefully a few new things.
And if nothing else, I'm sure there will be a few nuances in her retellings that will be fun to pick apart & analyze ![]()

I think we might learn one or two new things. She'll probably show us a few pics we've never seen before from her childhood and we might get to see a few snippets of some great live performances from the 1970's that we'll be begging to see the whole of, but they will never be revealed again, anywhere. I sound so optimistic, don't I?

![]() i hope she can open up a bit more - like i said, i was watching goldie hawn, and when she was talking it felt so real, like she wasn't putting on a show. i'm not saying stevie isn't honest, i just think she can come across as being a bit more performative in recent years. maybe since there will be no audience we'll get something more real, if that makes sense ![]()

Oprah and Stevie always seem like such a mismatch to me. Oprah is so cut-to-the-chase, tell-it-like-it-is/was kinda person, no sugar coating, and Stevie is just the opposite... filter everything thru rose-colored glasses and make even the really sh&ttiest stuff sound romantic. Plus Oprah likes to get right to it and Stevie tells such long, meandering stories. it could make for some very interesting television.

I think this interview took something like 6 hours. The folks at Oprah edit it to one hour for air of course. She was very excited to do it though. And no, Oprah doesn't do the interviews for Masterclass. The questions are all asked off camera, via satellite I think. The series is very well done.

Not sure who got editorial control but SN seemed pleased with the experience. I think the stories will depend on the questions asked. I know she was asked a lot about her family because she provided lots of old photos.
