Babyland General Hospital

[Angel69]

I was a "Doctor" at the Babyland on Fifth back around 1985. I delivered plenty of babies LOL There was an ad in the NY Times looking for actors/models to work in an "innovative new establishment soon to open up". Went to the interview was hired and went for training at the Babyland in Georgia. About 15 of us went and toured that facility and got to go and meet Xavier at his home and have dinner with him. What went on at the hotel we "Doctors and Nurses" stayed at is another story.

It was a big deal for a while, lines of people wanting to get in. Sylvia Miles showed up as did Ms. Diana Ross who spent lotsa money. We were told beforehand that she was coming in and the store was closed while she was there. Me and a nurse were told to bring a couple of "babies" into my bosses office while Diana decided which ones she wanted. Diana looked beautiful big hair, zebra print floor length coat. Memories. I couldnt help thinking though "I wish that was Stevie sitting in front of me"
