Sara and Gypsy were fairly easy to pick. Although Gypsy doesn't really work well live, its my favorite Mac song and has been played on the most recent tours. I'd love to hear an acoustic version of it, like Stevie and Lindsey did back in '99 on a charity event, I think?

Sisters of the Moon has been done before live, so I think it stand a chance. Storms was just done last year. I don't see her Tango songs being done, at all. Straight Back/That's Alright probably not.

SOTM has not been performed in 30 years.I consider myself very lucky to have been at the Forum for the taping of those final Mirage tour shows and that Iconic performance of the song.I pray that is the final performance of it for all time.

Those if you that are on FB could start a FB campaign "Stevie please sing SOTM on the live 2013 tour".

Anyway I'll say she might do Sara or Gypsy or both.Plus Storms.

I wish Stevie would perform "Sister of The Moon". It's just the best song of her from "Tusk" album.

i couldn't care less about Straight Back and LDW - actually i do, i really hope they don't do those.

FL could be interesting or grating, who knows.

but i would love to hear SOTM and Angel.

I can understand your thinking - to a point. On the other hand, you might as well say they need to stop performing at all (because nothing they do now will ever match them in their heyday) or only do new songs where you have no past glories to compare it to.

Anyway, I bet they are going to give SOTM a shot since both Stevie and Mick have mentioned it.

Fans put it on Mick's radar 8 years ago and I'm not surprised about him, but for Stevie to mention it as she has really gets my hopes up.

I know Stevie doesn't feel this way, but for a rocker, I really don't think there is much of a risk in performing it. I think it's easier to get Beautiful Child or Storms wrong than this one, because all you have to bring is the atmosphere and attitude. Vocals are secondary and I'm not concerned about the band holding up its end.

Fingers crossed.

Michele

I thought both "Beautiful Child" and "Storms" were big gambles, since they are not hits and have a slow tempo which, if not done well, can really bring the pacing of a concert to a screeching halt. She pulled them off beautifully, but she really needs another rocker in the set anyway. That's why I always argue that "Stand Back" needs to be in the set....it's often her only moment to really let loose. Even SOTM isn't a particularly fast song, but it is a rocker, and adding another one can only be a good thing.

Right, Beautiful Child and Storms were risks in terms of vocals and the reaction from casual fans. A song that has a hard driving beat doesn't face the same challenge.

As long as she is over not wanting to look like a witch, I don't think there's anything standing in the way of SOTM. She had an urge to do Fall From Grace and Ghosts Are Gone (I won't mention that horrid Rock and Roll that plagued me like a case of the shingles). So, I think she wants a rocker and this just might be the time for SOTM.

Honestly, I'm not worried about SOTM because of the vocals. The vocals weren't why it was awesome in the first place. I just hope she can bring some of that intensity back into it, if they play it. It would be a shame for it to fall flat. I don't expect for her to be babbling nonsense, but some of the drama in her delivery would be nice.

Someone needs to pull up the Mirage version on Youtube for her and let her see why we love it.

Also, I would probably cry if they did an up-tempo Rhiannon. But that's a lost cause, I think.

I did like her vocals at that point and she won't be able to replicate them ever again but I do believe if she would vamp it up she could create that same feeling again. I think she still can own dramatic stage rock -- if she wants to.

This. Karen? Please!

Haha! Not if she makes the mistake of stage whispering to Lindsey, "And, don't play it too fast..."

Yes, I think Stevie realized how well Ghosts worked on stage, mb this is why she and Mick are kicking around the idea. It does stand a shot.

I personally would rather hear Twisted, FL, or Crystal, but would not be disappointed with SOTM.
