^This! The Dallas show had several Platinum tickets for well over $1500 each, yet now the highest one they have is $684.97. I can't figure out if people actually bought the ones for $1500+ or not, but if they did I would bet they are no where near the fans any of us Ledgies are. It irks the hell out of me that people who really could give a damn about the show will buy up front row tickets just because they have the money.

During FM-Unleashed--at MSG, I got front row at the last minute. Off to the side, but still...front row, and I stood at the stage for almost all of it. But, there was a couple in the second row...and the guy kept bragging how he spend over $1000 for the pair of tickets he had because his "girl" loved FM and was SUCH a fan. I kind of just snickered because I paid face value and was one row in front of them. Anyway...they also went up to the stage, at one point, probably after numerous beer runs because they were plastered. And, the woman kept screaming for them to sing "Leather and Lace." And, she got progressively more profane in her requests. At the end of the evening, she was "f*ing furious" because they wouldn't sing her favorite "FM" song.

So, I couldn't agree more. The people paying these outrageous prices are not the ones who are on here, supporting the band for years and years.

as far as those premium and vip deals...esp. the VIP packages...I'd be very interested in knowing if anyone here has done the meet and greets and do you think it was worth the bucks you shelled out?
I mean, if I had the $$ I might consider it...seems like it'd be kinda fun to get that extra little perk...

In this case, I think it is well worth it because you get a better seat at a price that is competitive. For the Unleashed tour, meeting Mick cost extra on top of the rest of the package. This time, it doesn't cost extra and the seats are cheaper than they were for Unleashed. I'm not really interested in talking to Mick, so I guess that is worth whatever value you place on it.

all of us are so interested in one or the other thing either FM or one or the other FM member related. i'm sure you'd have some good questions.

just read Matt's post about what he asked Mick - lots of good questions from Matt and it seems Mick is willing to give the info in response.

so should be some interesting info after these m&gs. after all, it seems that most of Mick's tickets went to fans... casual concert goers mostly didn't even know about these.

I haven't done this before, but I feel totally fine about my purchase, honestly. It was a lot of money, but I would have either spent a lot more money (through "platinum seating" or brokers) or a lot more time (hoping that close seats get released at a later date, which is also completely unpredictable) getting comparable seats at this venue, it seems, and this has the added bonus of getting to meet Mick. So I feel like it was worth it just for where I'm sitting, and Mick is the cherry on top.

Well, I'd asked him about his recent hypothetical comment regarding Stevie writing a song and Christine singing on it and wondering why that popped into his head.

Mick can be very eloquent and you could ask him about anything. If you wanted to ask him about another band member, his nose won't get bent out of joint. I just don't like the idea of meet and greets. I chose not to ask him anything during Unleashed and I would probably choose the same this time. The whole, "I'm a fan and I want my picture taken with you" thought really bothers me. I would, though, like to meet these people at the Cleaners you know. If I saw Stevie hauling her cashmere blankets in, I'd lament about how hard it is to get stains out of them.

There's nothing wrong with it. I love to hear reports from people who have done it. I think that is great. I just don't like to do that. I never thought it was wrong to want a picture. I don't want one. But I have had imaginary conversations with Larry David in my head more than once, so it is not like I don't understand the impulse. Michele
