Both VERY different from the original... Songbird is lovely though. Remember they are re-imagined versions, so they weren't going for exact replicas...

The latest copy of Mojo has just dropped through our letterbox and the free cover disc is another in their series of classic albums re-imagined. This time it is Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 classic Rumours with the eleven tracks covered by artists including The Besnard Lakes, Dylan LeBlanc, Yeasayer, Julia Holter, Dutch Uncles, The Liars, The Staves, The Phoenix Foundation and more.

Mojo is available from all decent newsagents and this issue includes their top 50 albums of 2012 and end of year review.

Grab yourself The Staves taking on Songbird and listen to Yeasayer’s album opener Second Hand News and The Liars version of the classic The Chain.

Just bought this today

So great to see FM on the cover and looking forward to hearing the CD of other artists covering their songs. There were only two copies left, apparently they flew off the shelves.

Have only flicked through it but there don't appear to be any new photos (most recent is a tour photo from 2009). Don't want to spoil it for people who buy a copy but just one small thing - Lindsey says that he would turn off the radio if he heard a track from Rumours playing!! Stevie wasn't too thrilled when she was told about it and had a bit of a go at him

Nice new interview with Chris, and a tribute to Bob Welch.

Hope everyone manages to get hold of a copy.

I can listen to the studio versions of Rumours songs on the radio just fine. What I'd like to be able to do is turn off the concert when I hear those songs on stage, Lindsey, especially during a solo show.

"My kneejerk reaction would be to change the station....God! Why is that? I guess it's because it might dredge up the subtext around the songs, and that's not always pleasant."

The guy who wrote the article had interviewed her before during The Dance era, she told him then that she was leaving the band to move back to England.


She's asked 11 questions, nothing too mind blowing (again I don't want to ruin it for people who would prefer to read it themselves) but I was interested to read which three albums were her favourites.

Not really. She didn't say much that we haven't heard already since she left, but it's still an interesting read.

I won't give away the album choices, other than to say that I thought she would have chosen Tango In The Night with 'Everywhere' and 'Little Lies' being such big hits for her - and the album selling so well...but nope, that wasn't one of her picks.
