[So, we can expect to hear the new songs in concert, if nothing else]

November 14, 2012
http://entertainment.stv.tv/music/20...13-world-tour/

Rock legends Fleetwood Mac are planning a world tour in 2013, with new material released around the same time.

Singer Stevie Nicks was speaking at the premiere of Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 when she made the remarks, claiming that "2013 will be the year of Fleetwood Mac".

She said: "I was in the studio with Lindsey [Buckingham] last week for four days and we did record two songs. We are probably going to throw them out a month before we go [on tour].

"We go in to rehearsal the 15th of January, for six weeks, so we will probably be on the road by the end of April. 2013 will be the year of Fleetwood Mac."

Fleetwood Mac have been touring on-and-off for 40 years, with 1977's studio album Rumours still the fan favourite, but Stevie promised that this new tour will offer fans something new.

She said: "I think we are going to go through our catalogue and pull some really neat stuff that we don't usually do on stage. And make this a very different show than the show in 2009, and 2003-2004.

"We are really going to make an effort to make this really special and something brand new for everybody to see because there are so many songs."

Asked where the band will tour, Stevie said: "It will probably be about 50 American shows. We always do 17 shows about in Australia, and we do probably 15 shows in Europe. So it's a big tour, it is a big world tour."

This is the best news, 2 brand new songs Making this next tour VERY DIFFERENT than previous tours, setlist will include some neat stuff that they dont usually do on Stage, fingers crossed for SOTM, Angel, would be so great if they include one or all 3.. B &N Frozen Love, Crystal or Sorcerer. But not gonna happen!

I keep thinking about how awesome Straight Back would be live... her voice is perfectly suited for it these days. I actually think I'd rather hear Straight Back than even Sisters. As much of a rabid fanboy as I am for Sisters, that song was a moment in time. I don't think it's a coincidence Stevie hasn't let that one resurface in her post cocaine era. Though a tamer, matured Sisters could be interesting.

I would love to see how a more mature Stevie would perform Sisters of the Moon..and please please please perform an acoustical segment of the set..lindsey and Stevie do some harmonies, instead of him singing a song and then she sings a song....

Haha, yes! Ugh poor Charlotte! I'm really getting irritated watching these interviews because it is sort of making me want to read the books for the sole purpose of trying to figure out why Stevie is infatuated with them... I have managed to neither read nor watch the Twilight series thus far.

^^ Me too! Oh, but what a way to go!

And this is why whenever she says something that gets me worried, like the film fest interviews on not recording any FM material, I never fully believe her. They got together last week to record... I understand it's sort of a toss between FM and BN, but like someone else said earlier, FM is BN these days - that's just sort of the reality of things without Christine, a third writer.
I will be over the moon if they sing multiple BN songs on tour! Ahh

Also, I'm sooo jealous of Jessica. I'd kill to be her niece! Awesome

Stevie: Lindsey, since we've had our "great peace" and all let's go to the Twilight premier!
Linds: Can I bring a guitar?
Stevie: No.
Linds: ......

*later in the theater*

Stevie: Psst, you are so Edward.
Linds: .......

( I kid, I just find the thought of them going to such a function together very amusing )

I've read them. It's not Wuthering Heights. It's not even Harry Potter. The series is badly written, but that's not to say I didn't find it addictive.

Stephenie did have the audacity to have Bella and Edward actually compare themselves to Heathcliff and Catherine, with Jacob being Edgar. Bella compared them to Romeo and Juliet too.

Hey can't Anne Bronte get a little love? Doesn't Stevie like Shirley???

I agree about an acoustic portion...when they did Gypsy with just guitar back in 2000 for a benefit show it was beyond amazing. They could still do some of the songs they've been doing forever but maybe breathe some new life into them.

Agreed. They were terrible, but I read them all within a week or two.

To me, the movies are rubbish, unless you've read the books and bring an imagination that can fill in the blanks and smooth over the performance pitfalls. It's not like Harry Potter where the movies create their own world, different from the books -- and contain good acting and good casting.
