I cannot stand Twilight, but the fact that they made her get her ass up and do IYD makes me appreciate it so much more. Interestingly, before IYD there was always speculation that Stevie would never do another solo record, but I never heard her flat out say that, yet she said it in two interviews during the premier! On The Insider she said, "I would have never made another solo record." And in the interview below she says "I was never going to make another solo record. I was walking out of the recording business." I can't tell if this is Stevie being dramatic Stevie or if she really had decided to never make another solo record again.

Ah, so it seems Stevie did INDEED bring a date - her niece. How sweet of her.
Hahaha, don't we know it?! Clearly Lori needs to be ordered off to AZ again and check for us

Stevie also released Garbo on Enchanted. My guess would be that it is Without You, but we shall see! I'm hoping since Lindsey wrote "two beautiful songs" that Stevie sang on and Stevie contributed the BN song, that Stevie contributes another one. I mean, she could write something completely new, but she could easily just pull another demo out to record. It just seems that it would be somewhat awkward and unbalanced to release an EP with two Lindsey songs and one Stevie song.

Probably a little of both. She's been saying all along that she was discouraged by other industry people, who advised her just to tour/work on other projects until hopefully the music business took a turn for the better. I think she's exaggerating the finality of that decision a bit for dramatic effect but it's based in reality.

Dying of excitement that at least SOME new material will be produced, as well as an effort to change up the set list! Promising..

Any bets on what old BN song they rerecorded? Something on the Coffee Plant Demos intended for the second BN album? Or something else? Edit* I actually just had a dream that it was Nomad two days ago..hmm.

Without You
Nomad (Candlebright)
Garbo
Cathouse Blues
Goldfish and the Ladybug

Sorcerer, Designs of Love (That's Alright) and After the Glitter Fades have all been done.
My money is on "Without You." Very Cat Stevens. It's a pretty song with great harmonies.

Oh man "Without You" is an amazing song. And if you think about it, with all Stevie's been saying about Lindsey recently.... where would they be without each other? I can over analyze the lyrics and can connect the love of the musical connection and/or music they make together to the meaning of this song...and basically what Stevie has expressed lately. I swear I get musical soul mates out of this, and not shipper mates.. Just musical soul mates.

For what it's worth.

I really don't like that adjective coming from her. I mean, I know she said she liked SWS and so do I, but when I hear her say "beautiful" to me that means snooze. On the other hand, I hear a song title like "Sick of You" and I think, "Hmmm. I will probably like that one.

Funny you say that. First time I played Stephanie for one of my non-Mac fan friends she said. "Hmpf. Sounds like Peace Train". Lol.
