I think it sounds like Stevie. I think Stevie should of kept her mouth shut. She is a 64 year old woman. Show some dignity.

Age doesn't make you dignfied. Actually, other than aches and pains (and maybe, hopefully, some wisdom) you don't feel all that much different inside than at any other age.

Don't let those British dowagers fool you;-)

Actually I think she should have run with it.This could have ushered in a whole new career for her and won her a new generation and demographic of fans as a west coast uzi totin ,ho slappin, gangsta rappin granny.

No age doesn't make you dignified. But by age 64 the person who wrote Landslide should have learned when to keep her mouth shut. This reeks of a publicity stunt for her movie, eventhough it probably isn't.

What does writing Landslide have to do with anything?

Certainly, this comment wasn't necessary. But I believe she was asked about it, which is why she even made a statement about it in the first place.. so I doubt it had anything to do with trying to get publicity for her movie. It's not as if this is the first time Stevie has said something without really thinking it through (and I love her for that, because haven't we all been there? ).

It was a harmless, amusing comment on a silly fight that's been in the news lately - the media ran with it, and that's unfortunate, but I really don't think it's THAT big of a deal. I might have said something similar when talking to my friend about it.. the only difference is that I'm not a public figure, and I didn't have journalists writing down my every word and making news stories out of them.

Nicki Minaj had, allegedly, threatened Mariah Carey with physical harm, so perhaps that was the impetus for Stevie's own threat of physical violence.

Was it appropriate for her to say? Was it classy or dignified? Perhaps not, but it was certainly entertaining and garnered her a whole hell of a lot of press.

Wow .I see this thread is in the hot seat now.I just hope this will fizzle out.Stevie say it like it is.Stevie is human like us .but under a microscope with the media.

She's sticking up for Mariah which is fine.Which I did not know that Stevie is friends with. This Minaj woman is a bully and cause the shake up with Mariah in the first place.

Will see what ET,Access Hollywood and Extra has anything on this tonight.

Smart move, Stevie, for the public apology...but I LOVE that Stevie isnt buying into this political correctness b.s. that we can't call out poor behavior for exactly what it is......I LOVE Stevie even more knowing that she is offended by this "rap" culture where even the women performers act like souless fools..Stevie, you might not want to admit to wanting to kill Nicki but never stop identify trash when you see it I LOVE YOU MORE TODAY!

Ironically enough my daughter came home from High School today saying some kids were asking "who is Stevie Nicks" because of the gossip. By coincidence only, she was wearing my 35 years old Rumours shirt and was able to point Stevie out to her classmates, although many were somewhat familiar with her.

It was the 3rd story on Access Hollywood. They just ran the quote from yesterday and then the apology.

Maybe now people will finally stop asking, "who's he?" when you mention her name.
