Thanks for posting. Cool to hear his stories of that era, in particular, the one about how he was actually in the studio the day Mick met Lindsey. Would love to hear the remastered farewell BN concerts that Tom Moncrieff did with the original mono recordings. Or, is this what's already out there?

So, according to Gary, the holdup with the official CD release of the BN album has to do with Keith Olsen's needs not being met by Lindsey. He allegedly wants a couple million $? He or Stevie can't fork that over? They'd probably get that money back after releasing the CD.

I, however, don't agree with Gary that they should go into the studio with the original musicians and just rerecord the album. Wouldn't be the same at all. Tough enough to get Lindsey and Stevie to work together in the studio in FM let alone on a reworking of the album.

i enjoyed listening to Gary's interview too. he has a pleasant way of storytelling.

i don't know about the math of making 3-mill-dollars-plus on CD release... can you explain that to me? let's say extremely optimistically that CD sells 100 k - how do you get 3 mill from that?

personally, i actually like the idea of them getting together for a week in lindsey's studio, and just re-recording everything, maybe live. they would not be starting from scratch like new FM recordings. either issue it together with original, or just that, if they really can't get to any good masters or copies (seriously?? with all that's out there? as the interviewer said too). but i'm biased, i don't like LB's or SN's voices on the original BN, so re-recording with their current voices, even without higher register, would work for me.
