Well if that's how the photo got here (ie. if it was ripped off some kids' Facebook account) then okay. Then it's a question of whether it's simply bad taste, or whether it should be here at all. I can't find anything in our FAQ against it so... again... maybe Michele will want to chime in here.

Oh come on! Everyone knows what LB's kids look like and he doesn't seem to mind that since most of the images we have of the kids came from him. This picture is no different, it's not like it's an embarrassing picture, he's not sitting there with his finger up his nose or anything. It's was a posed photograph and anyone who has been in the business as long as LB has knows that any picture you pose for, for anyone, could end up online.

This picture has been floating around the internet for months, maybe close to a year now. And I know a few people who are opposed to it being posted have been circulating is privately for months themselves. So you're saying it's ok for YOU to privately look at a "private" picture of a child you don't know from Adam, but no one else should?

But, there again, said fan is basically saying, it's ok for me to have this picture taken of myself with this minor who I don't know, and to look at it whenever I want, (because what else are pictures for but to look at in the future to remember a person or event) but I don't think it's appropriate for anyone else to. But I'm going to make sure and let everyone know I have these pictures that they can't see because I don't think it's appropriate that they see them. Unless they are my friend, they I'll just PM it to them and assume they'll keep it to themselves (which they won't).

It's hypocritical to have these photos in your possession and then be outraged if they get posted so others can see what you see.

But, how are we going to start tracing back every photo? That's impossible.

Like I said, as a parent, to me it feels wrong. I think parents should be the one to decide what photos of their kids get shared by strangers. But I know I'm fighting a losing battle here. Is it the end of the world? Hardly. But I still don't like it. I guess we agree to disagree.

^ Well you're right, and I for one am not going to take the time to "research" where the photo originated. The question here, I think, is whether it's really appropriate to post photos of his kids. If you look at it from that perspective alone, it's obvious that pics of him + his kids pop up all the time. I personally am not interested in seeing pics of Buckinghams kids, but I don't find it some gross violation. A line that "shouldn't" be crossed? Maybe so.

But you are not in the public eye.

I've always felt that as long as Lindsey was in the pic it was fair game.

Even if it comes from a minor? I guess I view it like contracts, they don't have the authority to enter into one.

Sorry, no- I don't get it. I worked with youth for a few years. This is nothing compared to the extremes they go to put themselves out there. Sharing a picture of a celebrity and his son -when he would have done so on twitter if he would get his head out if the sand long enough? It's not a big deal. Whoever grabbed this was either friends with him or its public. All the kids I worked with have public profiles and are posting pictures of themselves all day long. Welcome to 2012.

That doesn't mean the parents approve though, and I just don't feel right about exploiting a minor's mistake.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

By the way, I doubt it was a mistake. Lets ask some of our minors on this board, shall we?
Do you honestly think he has time to police the every move of this particular minor? Seriously?

I don't understand how a teenager posting pictures of himself is a 'mistake'. As long as they're not obscene or revealing, seeing a picture of a 14 year old's face is no different than seeing that same kid walking down the street, in the grocery store, in your kid's classroom..... it's just a picture of a kid in sunglasses trying to look cool, having breakfast with his dad in a hotel dining room. Crop LB out and it's a picture that would be perfectly appropriate in his school yearbook. LB's not stupid, he knows the deal, and if he had any real concerns about this picture getting into the hands of fans, he wouldn't have allowed it to be taken.

I think it would be more of a "mistake" if Buckingham Jr was standing in front of their house showing the street address... or something of that nature.

Well, please let me be the one to put an end to the argument! I deleted my original post. As far as the re-posting, if there is anything I can do about it, someone please let me know. I see both sides of the debate, and although I don't personally consider the picture to be so controversial, I do understand why it would upset others.

I honestly like it here, and I'm sorry that this is turning out to be such a "situation." I just wanted something fresh to contribute.

Sorry everyone.
