Massive Florence fan and her love of Stevie adds to it massively.. She mentions her in majority of her articles.. Here in Australia she is massive and is aptly titled the Stevie Nicks of the Twilight generation by Rolling Stone Aus.

I noticed that since this thread was last active Florence and The Machine have put out Ceremonials and too much success.. A remix with Calvin Harris has currently been #1 in UK which would be her 3rd or 4th single off said album..

And in defence of riding off of 1 album prior to Ceremonials that is just plain wrong.. Extensive touring around the world (at MANY music festivals around the globe) as well as separate tours of different nations.

Constantly making music whether they were covers or demos etc

I just think it is really unfair to to suggest she didn't deserve the Fame she initially got because she had only released 1 official record labeled album..

As someone said Lungs took a long time to reach all corners of the globe

Hate gave you me for a lover...
And if you go forward, I'll meet you there
And if you climb up through the cold freezing air
Look down below you; search out above
And cry out to life for a frozen love

Five Musicians Setting the Tone at Fashion Week

Florence Welch
With her fashion magazine covers, much-discussed collaborations with Gucci and Chanel and status as one of Anna Wintour's chosen ones, Florence Welch represents a relatable update on Kate Bush's ghostly, tower-voiced maiden prototype. Her ruby-hued halo of hair, six -foot-tall stature and icy complexion make almost any garment look commanding, a quality in a muse designers die for. But Welch's flair for Stevie Nicks-level drama – sweeping fabrics, columns of dark velvet, Art Deco gowns – is why people truly gravitate to her style, and in part why celestial evening gowns have come back into vogue for Fall 2012. Expect emerald hues, navy silks and purples to find their way into eveningwear for Spring.

I've been waiting about 2 years to see Florence. The wait will finally be over tommorow at the Sundome at FSU Tampa.
The most recent videos I've watched on youtube of this current tour are fantastic. She seems to be having a great time on stage and alot of interaction with the fans. Of course I also like her comments and admiration for Stevie. The live cover of The Chain is pretty cool also.

I'm so excited for you! I was all set to see her again in October in Northern Cal. but then the Stevie thing came out. I love Florence and want to see her again, but damnit if SN doesn't trump any other going on's in my life! lol. Can't wait to hear what you think.
On her rendition of the Chain, at first I was all over it, then I kind of didn't like it. It's such a group song that it's weird to hear one vocal. Re-visiting it, yea, it's pretty fabulous.
